getitng from US hotel to SW?

Hi all,

How long does it take to get from a US on-site hotel to Sea World? Are there buses for hotel guests or will we need a rental car? We are thinking of trying to do SW on our first day in Orlando, but our flight won't arrive at MCO until 11:00 a.m., then we would check into our US hotel, then try to get to SW. Maybe this is too much?

There's a shuttle that runs from the Universal onsite hotels to Sea World. Check with the hotels for depature and pickup times.

We took the free shuttle from the Hard Rock Hotel to Sea World last week. There were three departures in the morning to Sea World, at 8:55 AM, 10 something, and 12 something. The returns to the hotel were something like 5 PM, 7:15 and 10:15. If you're not arriving until 11 AM, there is a good chance you would miss the last shuttle to Sea World, but you could probably take a taxi there and take the shuttle back to the hotel. It's not very far. I would check with the concierge desk to make sure which shuttle to take back. For example, we needed a Quality Motorcoach with an "A" in the front window. There is a place on the Sea World park map showing where to catch the shuttle buses. There are a couple of canopies at the end of the parking lot where you wait.

Thank you for the information. I'm thinking if we are really going to combine WDW and US we may have to bite the bullet and rent a car...
