Getaway Vacations - Need Help

My wife and I are thinking about joining but we have a couple questions and could use some help. We would probably only get to our home resort every 2-3 years. Is it hard to trade for another timeshare in the Getaway Collections? Do DVC Members usually get the resort they want when they want it? Also, is it hard to book a room at Disney's Hilton Head Resort in April during school breaks if Hilton Head is not your home resort? I know this is a lot of questions for a newcomer, but we would appreciate any help.

DVC is an expensive timeshare - if you are not going to use it at least every other year - then I would go elsewhere

you might be better off with another timeshare - Marriott are nice.

oh if you don't buy DVC - don't buy any timeshare in Orlando, WIlliamsburg and Branson - too many very easy to trade - it is easy to trade your trade value is decreased.

Orlando timeshare are just too high in the maintence fees.

now if you still want DVC - then yes - it depends upon which getaways you are talking about -

the disney collection - if you do it soon enough not a problem

concierge collection - again do it soon enough not a problem

adventures colllection - don't know

World Passport collection - this is II - II is an exchange company and they can't give you something that they don't have. MS will work with you here and try their best to get you what you want. No guaranteed here at all.
