Get your flu shot yet?

Won't be getting one. If you're young and healthy, you might as well not even bother just because of the sheer number of viruses that cause influenza. I'll let my shot go to someone who really needs it.

No offense to the above poster.

Wow! So you desire to be another "Typhoid Mary"? It won't kill you because you're "young and healthy", but you'll spread the germs and kill others because of your failure to get immunized. Thanks.

I got mine last week when I saw the Transplant team. ;)

I went to the doctor yesterday for a general check up and got one then!

I work in a hospital and have close contact with HIV and cancer patients... I get a flu shot for 3 reasons, I have asthma, I don't want to possibly give it to my immunocompromised patients and I don't want to bring it home to my family.
I'll get mine next week at work- my ds (also asthmatic) will get his next week too.

I've never had one and I do worry about side effects. My dad got his though.

I normally get one, for so long I was in a field that it was a must (preschool teacher, then I worked at a hosptial for 6 years, then I was peganant or had a young baby in the house so normally we all get one.

Of course we are going to WDW in Jan and I don't want to risk any of us getting it then so I will try to get one this year. (DH is a college teacher and exposed to a lot of germs too.)

I take my oldest to get hers on Thursday. Not sure if the baby can or should get one since she is allergic to eggs.
