Get something off your chest here!!!

Why can't people read instructions? I'm subscribed to the Sept. ADR thread because there are still two reservations I'm wanting for our trip. Amazed at the number of people who don't read the thread guidelines on the first post.

I can't stand people who are all talk and no action. Someone in particular at work. It's blah blah blah this and blah blah blah that, but do you actually do anything? No! You can't just tell everyone that the project is going great and expect it to be true...you have to actually put in the work to make it great. I am so sick of sitting in meetings and watching your mouth move as I look at the clock and think "he has wasted ___ minutes of my time today." And then you want to schedule 5 more meetings and call me at random times to talk about...what again? Oh, the same thing we already discussed and resolved this morning? Your words are useless. Do your dang job instead of talking about doing your job.

Spay and neuter your pets people. Don't buy from puppy mills. Tag or microchip them. I'm so sick of seeing tons of good animals being put down while people pay a thousand bucks for the latest designer breed. I'm probably preaching to the choir, Disboarders seem to be a pet-loving group. Rant over.

I love my pets but I did want a specific dog breed. I looked for over a year for a rescue with no luck and finally broke down and bought one from a breeder (not puppy mill) last year. She is the best dog ever!

My almost 35-year old stepson moved in with us following the end of his engagement. We're not asking for rent or grocery money. We asked one thing of him: pick up after yourself.

Every day, we come home to dirty dishes and empty food containers on the kitchen counter, dining table, end table in the living room and in the office. He even gets up from meals and leaves his plate there while we're cleaning up. And no, we don't clear his plate.

We've repeatedly reminded him of our one request. Some of the dishes have at least made it to the sink. But not the dishwasher. Ugh.

My bridesmaid dress came in after a 12 week wait (it's a. Special order unless the person is a size 6, 20 or 28), I asked for it to be steamed and it's quite the wrinkled mess. Also, I bought a size up because the size down would have required me to lose 5-10 pounds and I didn't think I'd have the ambition.....apparently my mind said I could eat a lot because now I have to lose 5-10 pounds. Oh well!

Also quite annoyed that my niece and nephews mother doesn't believe in parenting her kids and lets them do whatever they want....and now I'm watching them until school starts. I love the,, but don't love their lack of manners or constant crying over everything.

Still, with those minor things, it's still a good day!

:sad1: On Friday evening a dear friend of mine lost a very close family member (7 year old boy) in a tragic drowning accident while he attended a birthday party at a local community with a private lake. By Saturday morning the (presumably) well-meaning members of the Resident's Association had started a gofundme account linked to the Community FB page to raise funds to contribute to funeral expenses. These people don't know my friend's family and did not consult them in any way. The family is outraged and humiliated that people have been led to assume they don't have the means to bury their child and that they would even consider appealing to strangers if that were in fact the case. How miserably presumptuous, and how much needless upset this has caused my friend and her family. Seriously, who does that?? Social media has sent the world to hell in a handcart! :furious:

Some things that grind my gears:
  • When people do not wash their hands after using the bathroom.
  • When someone pulls out the "Do you know who I am?!" card.

My husband is driving me crazy! He lost his job a week ago due to budget cuts and he found another one but it doesn't start until Aug. 10. He's been home for 1 full week and today starts week 2. It was nice having him home last week and we got to do some fun things as a family. Now I'm ready for him to go back to work but he still has 2 more weeks off! I know he's getting bored but he just hovers around me, almost as if he wants me to entertain him. It's like I've got 3 kids now instead of 2!

Because he's not getting a paycheck for roughly 5 weeks, we can't really go anywhere. We have to watch our money carefully. We've got a couple things planned this week and he's got some projects he wants to get done, so hopefully he keeps himself busy and stops hovering. Ugh, he's got to get back to work and I think he would even agree with that!

Bo honest!! I made an order with a gal through a Disney page and I keep getting "just another day or so". Seriously, if it's gonna be two weeks, or a month extra time, just flipping say so! It's not like I need the thing right at this moment, but if you give a specific time frame and you find you can no longer stick to it, just be up front. Sheesh.

His former fiancee dodged a bullet with him, lol.
