But! Personal victory: I an currently wearing old jeans that now fit again! ::happy dance::

Hi everyone. I've been sick the last few days and am going to the doctors this afternoon. I will catch up when I'm feeling better...

Can I join in? My trip isn't until September but this thread looks like it has awesome support! I'm hoping to lose 30lbs by Aug/Sept! :)

So pleased I found this thread. I'm coming to Disney World in 6 1/2 weeks with my daughter. I have lost 23lb so far am hoping to loose another 13lb before we fly. Xx

Today was SUCH a good day! I walked on the treadmill (through New Zealand today ;) ) for about 35 minutes this morning and did some strength exercises. Then, after I got some housework accomplished, I RODE MY HORSE!!! It's actually not bone-numbingly cold here today, so I was able to go for a ride (and do a little work with my baby horse which burns a surprising number of calories ;) ). So so so happy. :)

New Zelaland would be a fun place to run ;)

I can only imagine how awesome it would have been to get out riding! No horses anywhere near me. :sad2:

Running after your first horseback ride in months HURTS!!

:lmao: great workout though!

I'm not doing very well this week. It's been a very, VERY stressful week with 3 trips to the hospital (only 2 of them were for our family) and 2 doctor appts outside of that, plus an appt I canceled b/c that was enough Drs for this family for one week.

For the most part things should be okay, but it's still stressful. I also didn't stop and buy any quick meals, instead I had healthy snacks with us, and then had a quick curry when we got home so still stayed healthy diet wise, but there's been no real exercise during the past week. I haven't even been focusing on posture. BUt I did haul 4 children through the snow and from one end of the hospital to the other several times - while carrying an extra 20lbs and pushing an extra 100, so that counts for something, right? ;)

I forgot to ask my Dr if running or working-out was okay. She completely threw me when she told me no wine :sad1: or caffeine  of any type until I get in to see the cardiologist. So I guess for the time being I stick to yoga. I'm terrified if I do anything and mess up my heart now, I won't be able to ride the good rides! :scared1:

I'd rather ride rides than work-out any day! :rotfl2:

I'm sorry to hear about all the doctoring this week! :/ It's completely understandable that you wouldn't have had time to get much exercise in--and that you would be very cautious as to what exercises are okay. I hope you are soon able to get a handle on what's going on and feel completely better.

Gained a pound this week. But that's okay. I've got healthy salad fixings in the fridge now. I WILL DO BETTER THIS WEEK!

Has anyone tried the pre bagged salad mix with broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, kale and chicory? It is so yummy!!!

I wonder if we have that in our stores here? I've never seen it but I'm going to look for it. That sounds tasty!

It's actually called Sweet Kale Vegetable Salad Mix. I first found it at Costco, but now it seems to be popping up at grocery stores. It comes with dried cranberries and pumpkin seeds in a separate package.

It also includes a package of poppyseed dressing. I use a low fat raspberry vinaigrette instead of the Poppyseed though and add fruit and red onions to my salad. Yum!!! :goodvibes

Checking in for the sake of consistency:

Everything was going awesome until Wednesday. I was eating my salads and smoothies. I exercised every morning, rotating my march to fitness, fat boost, and boot camp videos. Then Wednesday night bam! I can't describe the pain with abdominal cramping and throwing up. The next morning I felt better, but didn't eat much. After dinner again, bam! Another painful night. I went to the doctors and I either have a stomach illness that's going around or my gallbladder's attacking me. I'm getting an ultrasound Tuesday and until then I'm eating sicky foods like jello, crackers, gatoraid, and chicken soup. For the sake of consistency, I lost 5 pounds for a total of 7 so far, but that number really doesn't mean much this week. I wouldn't recommend this method for weight loss. (Lame attempt at humor :) )

I promise to go through and add new people, etc when I feel better. I need to use my laptop for that and right now sitting in that position doesn't feel great. I have been reading through the posts and send everyone supportive thoughts.

Success! The scale finally moved downward yesterday - - down 1.5 pounds. :thumbsup2

I met my workout goals last week, but I didn't drink as much water as I wanted to, nor did I journal my eating well.

Goals for this week:
Activity - 3 days strength train (6 exercises from personal trainer) and 45 minutes walking briskly on treadmill; 3 days just treadmill, walking/jogging 5K.

Food - Journal all food eaten in MyFitnessPal, and stick to 1490 calories per day.

Water - 64 ounces per day

Have a great week everyone!

I hope it's just this nasty virus thing that has been going around and will be over soon. My MIL had it for almost a week so it can hang on for a bit. Feel better.
