Get email notice of response, but ...

when I click the link, the message doesn't show up! It also doesn't show when I access the thread while on the BB. At first I thought that maybe they were late Email notices when that option was turned off a few days ago. But as I'm paying attention to the posters' names and the times, I'm realizing those messages aren't showing at all. Is this a universal problem or am I doing something wrong?

It sounds to me like more server problems. Mr. J. Cricket knows more about that stuff though. Maybe he can correct me or shed some more light on the situation.

That's what I mean. I posted, my post showed up, but the thread didn't bump to the top. Another server problem. Which smilie do I use for this situation? Decisions, decisions!

The only thing I can think of is that the e-mail notifications are running much faster than the boards are. A post is made, an email is sent and then later on the post shows up.

It's the only thing that could explain some of this stuff.

Thanks for the replies.

As for the theory that the email notification is working much quicker than the message posts, I dunno. Some of these threads seem to have stopped dead in the water days ago. The posts I've had this problem happen on are the multipage ones. Have there been some new limits placed on thread size? Just trying to figure out how to work around the server glitches.
