It is not running-they only have the Morocco Friendship on the Lagoon.

Surely not another cost-savings move is it?

They often only operate one of the two boats.
But, if it becomes a permanent thing, it will be due to cost-cuts.

Agree with @Robo above. I've always wondered about those boats. Nice for a change of pace, but really not needed.

We've used the boats a few times. Most times of the year the boats are really unnecessary. However, they were handy around F&W at certain times to get by the crowds if you want to get to the other side of the World Showcase.

I suspect that once the new Frozen ride and A&E meet and greet open up at Norway, that boat to Germany would be quite handy to avoid the crowds on that side of WS.

I seem to remember that this was listed as one of their cost cutting measures. Whether it ever returns to service....?

They really need to shut down all the rides in Epcot - There's no direct revenue generated from them and it's politically incorrect to keep fish in a tank so we should shut that down too - In fact let's just turn Epcot into Disney Springs north - that will increase revenue by a projected 237% which will enable me to get my annual bonus of 2 million. This is a good thing.
:sad2:

I don't think this is a new development. I recall many trips over the past few years when only one boat was operating. I think its more of a seasonal (crowd level) thing, although it certainly does save some operating costs.

Agreed.
Many, many times it's just one boat (sometimes circling/serving all 4 of the WS Lagoon docks, sometimes only 2 of the docks,)
and on other days, both boats will be running as usual.

To find out if this situation is changing, stay tuned.

Yes, I think it was common to only have one boat running during periods of low crowds. But over Easter and Spring break?

Was the second boat not running for Easter week?
