We have done this twice now, for lunch and dinner. Both times we missed the entertainment though!!! We were too early for the lunch and the dinner was too late. UGH!

So, first question is, is there a schedule for the entertainment?

Second is, we went for lunch the first time and the two things that really made us want to go back were NOT there at Dinner. The Pretzel rolls and this pork dish that had mashed potatoes on the top with cheese...or seomthing like that.

Anyone know if those are lunch only items??

They have the pretzel rolls at dinner. I had them in November =)

The lunch show starts about 45 minutes after the first seating. We always choose this seating, and have never missed the show. If we are done eating, the waitstaff says, just sit, the show will start in however many minutes..stay and enjoy. Never been a problem though, we are usually still eating.

If you don't see something, ask a server. We were there for dinner and one of our table companions wanted something that was on the lunch buffet and not out for dinner, and they brought it to him.:thumbsup2

Steve Soares' site - http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/index.htm has the Biergarten entertainment schedule. This is the current one -

Experience the excitement of Oktoberfest with a festive dinner show in the Biergarten.

Daily at 1:15, 2:15, 3:15, 4:45, 5:55, 7:00 & 8:05pm
Length of show: 25 minutes

That should help quite a bit.

Not to hi-jack your thread, but can someone tell me if there is a good variety of meat on this buffet other than sausage? DH doesn't like sausage or sauerkraut. He's picky you know meat and potatoes, nothing mixed together. But I think we would enjoy the entertainment. It'll be me, DH, MIL and our DS who will be 4 then.

Are their some pretty normal kids items too? Like macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets, pizza, etc.?

The answer to this is NO! They do have a mac and cheese, but it is odd. They don't have the other things at all.

My kids are good eaters though, so it works for us. They love the potato and leek soup, the rolls, big salad eaters, the sausages...they have ones that look like mini hot dogs, they do like the mac and cheese (I don't) and they love the desserts. If you child has to have everyday american type/looking kids foods, this restaurant would not work well for them.

This is our favorite restaurant, I don't want to miss the show like we did last time!

When we were there last month, their first show was at 12:45 . . . we had an ADR for 12:35 but got there early and we were seated by 12:20. We asked for a table near the stage and they sat us right up close; my DS14 plays marimba and I wanted him to have a good seat . . . DH knows one of the musicians from high school:

Does anyone just walk up for lunch or do you always make a reservation?? We are 34 days out and we are wondering if we can get in at lunch without a reservation. We love this place but are not sure what day we want to eat here.
