Geriatric MM Warriors!

This is the description on ebay. I'll check amazon also. They are about 17.00 (that's with shipping)

Pumpkin Pie Da Vinci Gourmet Syrup

- All syrups come in a 25.4 oz bottle
- Originally formulated to create the finest non-alcoholic coffee drinks, DaVinci gourmet syrup is a worldwide favorite.

- DaVinci Gourmet concentrated flavored syrup is internationally recognized as the highest quality flavoring made.

- Great for flavoring many things including: Coffee, Sodas, Baking, Desserts, Cocktails, Shakes, Slushes, Malts!

The ones on amazon are for the smaller bottles like I have. The cost on those are about $9

When we had a World Market in town, they sold DaVinci syrups. They are also sold at a lot of "coffee" type stores and in gourmet food stores.

You might try some of these places before you pay the shipping charges.

Kate - yep y'all are hearing me GAGGING over here...Im with Nell on egglpant...YUK!

Hey, Self-Appointed-Chief-of-Police! You were busy today? We didn't see much of you. I hope your workout was good. My pork loin dinner was yummy. I thought of you as I happily got a quick and yummy dinner. Does Ken know that you are the crockpotting queen?

Well I really screwed up my 11-20's today. I had toast at 7 and then a sammie at 11:00. (So far so good). We got home from eye Dr. and I was helping DD10 with her homework and the next thing I knew it was 4:30 and I thought uh oh. Then I got wrapped up in laundry and had to rush off to zumba, and never ate a carb - Ugh.

I got home a little after 7 and had some salmon, but it was at least 9:00 before I realized I had never eaten a carb. So I guess my liver dumped at least one bagel today (and I didn't even get to enjoy it).

So now I'll go to bed an hour after my carb, but it is too soon to have a before bed carb.

I really screwed up today.

As for inviting Toramelia. I feel she is putting herself out there as very confrontational, and I, for one, am not comfortable with inviting that over here. She seems very eager to blame Diane for the mess that is the new forum. That is not fair. Diane only set up one thread. The participants are responsible for starting all of the different threads. I think it would have worked to have a Step 1 thread, a Step 2 thread, a recipe thread, an exercise thread, and maybe a "legal foods" thread. Right now they are spreading themselves too thin (IMHO).

Oh well, as long as we are happy here, that's what matters.

The mods will allow a thread to get to about 2,500 posts here before they force us to make a new thread. When the threads get too long, they can really slow down the server. We'll have to think about that in the not too distant future.

Well, I'm off to see who wins Project Runway and go to bed.

TTFN!

Hi All--you guys are so chatty today!

got through quickly reading all the posts to catch up.

exhausted today--my mom was admitted into the hospital--her blood pressure was 217/105 when she went to the doctor. they're going to be doing tests on her. I so wish she lived closer--would be so much easier.

Hugs to you all:grouphug:

ps--Hi Carol!

Hey Beverly. Step2 is a whole different animal. You might try setting an alarm on your cell phone and not worry about trying to have your 11-20 exactly at meal time for awhile. Keep crackers or bars with you and if you eat one before a meal for timing purposes, don't have an 11-20 with the meal. As busy as you are, meal times can be a challenge anyway.

Welcome Sharonn and Carol.:wave2::wave2:

Natalie - I hope they can easily find out what is wrong with your mother. Saying prayers. :littleangel: watching over her. How far away does she live?

I think we have our group intact now!!! I spent some time reading on the new site this afternoon as well as the old one and do not think we want to get involved. The one complaining about Diane has not read all the posts as she claims or she would know what is going on.

Do you think the size of our posts is what is slowing me down, Bev? Maybe we should start a new thread this weekend? I find after 9:00 PM the very slowest time, but it wasn't great this afternoon, either. There is usually maintenance in the wee hours of the morning - but that doesn't correspon to when I want to be on!!:lmao::lmao:

Whew, just had a close shoe encounter. Went to get my glasses from the car and Lobster decided that rated another greeting. So he went to my closet and pilfered my right tennis shoe and tried to scoot past me on my way back in. Kate, what's your address? Could I fasten it on his collar and put him on the bus and give him taxi fare? He would train you well and keep you on your toes (because you wouldn't have any shoes) LOL.

Lisa, I have tried that trick, too. As he has scooted his butt past me I desperately yell "cookies", "home", "go for a ride" to no avail. He is man on a mission.

On a completely different note, I am going to try to make a sweet potato pie/custard with pumpkin seasonings sometime before thanksgiving.I'll let you know how it turns out. Robin, I also give 1 BIG thumbs down to the eggplant pie idea. Too slimey!

Now, I really need to get ready for bed as I haven't been sleeping well. I keep waking up at 2 am and being awake for an hour or two. Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks for letting me ramble. You can tell I missed you all. Aren't you lucky?
You might wish you had politely declined my request to come over here.

Carol
PS Momtozac-hope your mom is okay

Hey,

Thanks so much for inviting me over to this board...I've missed everyone. I promise I won't just lurk and I won't rain on anyone's parade. I can't post a lot (there is no way I can type fast enough to get any response in at the appropriate time) but I will post at least once a day.

I read some posts earlier, before I had to go out and run errands, and shoe organization seemed to be a hot topic. Well, I have a story that I think everyone will enjoy:
We have 3 dogs-English Setters. There is a mom,Hannah, who is a tennis ball fiend. A daughter, Maggie, that loves to run and that talks a lot when you come home. Then there's the son, who's name is Lobster ( named by a teenage boy of course). He is our official greeter. In fact, he has what we call "greeting shoes" that he holds in his mouth when you come home and open the front door. He does not chew them, just holds them. When you open the door his first move is to try and run past you with the shoe in his mouth. If he manages to get past you, he and the shoe are gone. With many acres to run on, this is not what you want to happen. Any shoe left on the ground is fair game. He has also been known to raid closets when in need of a greeting shoe. Needless to say, we have quite a few single shoes. My husband and son-in-law make periodic shoe hikes looking for a list of missing shoes. Anyway, if you have a family member that needs to be trained to pick up their shoes...we could loan him to you. He has been very effective at training me. I may leave some clothes around, but not shoes.

Well, my eyes are beginning to cross as I left my reading glasses in the car and am too lazy to go out and get them. Will post again tomorrow.

Goodnight,
Carol

Carol, it's good to see you! I hope you have more time to talk tomorrow. I love your greeter dog. We have a present at bedtime cat. Every night he brings me a sock and puts it by my head in bed. We got him his own baby socks and put them in his toybox so we didn't have our socks out of the laundry basket all over the house and in the bed :cat:

Good Evening MM's,

Finally got caught up. So much happened the past week, it's very sad that some had to ruin what we had going at LCF. I'm just very glad I thought to PM Lisa and y'all welcomed me over here. I don't have time to post very much but I really enjoy your chatter, you make me laugh when I really need it sometimes.

Re Amelia, I'm afraid I agree with Barb. I get a bad feeling reading her posts on LCF, she sounds like Texas and some of the others that were so critical. Guess I didn't like the things she said about Diane She must not have been following the posts very close or she would have known the forum was not Diane's idea. I could be wrong, I was certainly wrong about Georgia Lee. The other thing is, it says alot if you are worried about someone reading what has been posted here. I would just be careful, y'all went through a lot to create this safe, fun haven. JMHO

Just wanted to say Hello and that y'all are in my thoughts and prayers.

So good to see all of you here. Have a good evening.

SharronLee, I'm glad you came over to our happy place. Come back when you have more time to play with all the smilies!

Hey you guys!! I am about 8 pages behind and no time to read those right now, just wanted to tell you I have heard from stwill and she is going to send me her e-mail address,,,we are Ok with that Right?

Also just got one from malzer...she is very upset and misses us and wants to join us too, I responded and told her we dont want any mention of us on the other sites and especially no info on where we have gone...so WHAT SAY YOU? do I send her an invite too? She always seemed very sweet and supportive to me...its up to YOU!!!

stwill and malzer both seemed like good people.

Lisa - I'm thinking about you. I hate car problems. How awful to get stuck far from home. :sad2:

Pam - I didn't eat 6 full meals today but I would have if I could have gotten my hands on more grub at work. As it was, I ate three full meals and about 4 snacks. All legal and I wasn't craving anything, just HUNGRY. Tonight after dinner I had a piece of Julian toast and two cups of decaf with cream and sf vanilla Torani. I think I'll be ok for now but will have no problem having a bedtime snack. Pony says she's hungry too back on step1 and she's been back on it for a bit  Maybe we all need to try eating bigger meals for awhile...:confused3

I'm home with air in the tire and I guess we are buying new tires tomorrow. With all the driving I do I have to be able to rely on them. Thanks for all the good wishes for my safe return! It was a fun and busy day on our team.:cheer2:

Carol, Hello! It's so good to see you! :grouphug:

Carol: I am so glad you found us! Your post about Lobster cracked me up! Once Bonnie stole something I couldn't get her to give back to save my life so I resorted to down-and dirty tactics - I opened the doors all the way to the garage and yelled "Bonnie, Daddy's home!" Then I trapped her in the garage. Terrible but true.:lmao:

Robin: I was really hoping you had time to read how Kathy wants you to eat mashed eggplant. I waited all day for that! :rotfl:Enjoy your phone call tonight! I'm working late with clients at the office and now I have a flat tire so dinner is postponed. Tom's on his way. I agree with you about the other two gals. Sorry, but the tirade showed me a side to her personality we don't want to open ourselves up to. Stwill should probably show up tonight. She's really nice and I think malzar is nice too.

Have a great night and say a prayer that we get this car home ok tonight.

I'm so glad about the way we can work together and problem solve. And there's nobody being mean or controlling! It's awesome! I love you guys! :grouphug:

Natalie: Praying for your Mom. I'm so sorry for the stress and I hope this was a warning and she gets good treatments that will help her.:littleangel:
