Geriatric MM Warriors!

Good day everyone! You all are so funny! I sit and chuckle at almost every post.

I've been posting like mad this morning over on the MM forum. I can't say I'm crazy about it, but I can't get past wanting everyone to be as successful as we've been. What I'm really not liking is when someone just starts a new thread instead of inserting it into general discussion or Step threads. Grr! And I have to agree with you all about the 'tweaking' everyone seems to want to do to make 'legal cheats'.

I'm back on Step I for at least ten days. So far no problems, headache or hungry's.

I just wanted to put this out there for you all, something to ponder. Back after GL made her declaration and you all quit posting?.. My first thought was that you'd all gathered somewhere else. I was saddened by it and a little hurt because I hated like anything that we'd separated. I would never had mentioned losing you guys either because I just felt it was your right to do what was best for you. I can't say for sure but I imagine they've probably thought the samething. I will continue with both the new forum and here if you all don't mind. I don't want any of you to feel as though I'm a trader for doing this. I love you guys and credit most of my success with this WOL to those of you here. :grouphug: As long as I have the need to 'pay it forward' I will continue to post in both forums.

Hi Laura, I see no advantage over there either, I'm glad you made your way over! :dance3:

Step2 -One Month

Well, I weighed this morning. Down 5 pounds on step2, which is ok since Diane's chart says my low end is 12 lbs each 2 months. Unfortunately, my waist is UP an inch on step2. I guess my liver is packing it in for a long winter :lmao: Not sure if there's a reason for this or something I need to change?? I'll quit the pumpkin and see how it looks at the end of 8 weeks. Also, I haven't been a middle of the night 11-20 snacker, do you think that would help? All in all, I'm a happy camper ::yes::

Barb: I lost a bit more after I started the middle of the night 3 bites of banana. Coincidence? I don't know, but you might want to try it. It can't hurt or Diane wouldn't be doing it herself every night. I used to guard my sleep like a warrior because if anything woke me up, I'd have the hardest time going back to sleep. I think those 3 bites help me sleep better, even though I HAVE to wake up to brush my teeth again. I thought I would try it for a few days and I'm pleased with the outcome, so maybe you should give it a try??

Pam: We glad to have you here and we would never judge you. It feels much better to some of us here. We value your time with us.:grouphug:

Pam, of course not. People are hurt, they got hurtful letters and posts deleted, so working it out and talking about helps, and it's safe and non judgmental to do that here. I registered over there and started a thread. It seems like bunches of people jumped on to problem solve Thanksgiving, so of course I'm going to keep going and sharing. It's just a different feeling here because we've been close from the beginning. Your not a traitor. You didn't do any of this either. Having differences of opinion are fine.:grouphug:

Met Miracle Warriors!!! :cool1:

Happy Monday everyone! Hope everyone is ready to rock and roll this program this week! Still on track, still feeling great...still moving into smaller clothing and lovin' this WOL~!~!

How's everyone else doing??

Sunnee :hippie:

Sunnee, I'm so happy to hear your doing well!

I have noticed, When I have peanut butter in the house, I don't appear to lose any fat. When I don't have it, things seem to move. I wonder what I can deduce from this? :lmao:

Pam, I was thinking about what you said some more. I think it's important for me not to judge. I am upset with the letters Georgia Lee sent, and that it appeared that others agreed with Texas's assessment. I felt that our Godiva ride, something that we shared and made us laugh through this time of change that is so difficult, was ridiculed. I started thinking of the personal things I've shared that weren't on topic and felt horrified and embarrassed. It made me feel as though I needed to hide and get away from judgement. I'm going to keep in mind that some of the folks over there are stepping up because we aren't. It just doesn't feel safe anymore.

I have been sleeping hours and hours. I must have slept about 20 of the last 24 hours. I get like this if I've gotten really stressed. I think my body needs it. A doctor did tell me once that she believed I had chronic fatigue, but I refused to label myself with something that really has no treatment. So I can identify with those of you that have it. I really think it's an endocrine disorder which equals Met B. By getting the insulin in a proper range I'm hoping that the rest of the endocrine system decided to jump on board! :dance3:

I've got to say, my decaf was wonderful this morning! I am getting used to it, you were right Pony! I'm using the Wal-mart decaf Columbian and making it strong! With my other half out of work things are very tight again. I'm hoping to be able to buy the Atkins shake to try in coffee soon. But I noticed I only use too much half and half when I have my cocoa enhanced coffee. Now, I can make my protein smoothie and add cocoa, and because it has whey protein and cottage cheese, I don't need to add any half and half. So I'm thinking of keeping the baking cocoa to the smoothies. I'm not gaining any weight or fat, but I'm no longer losing. Which, believe it or not, I'm ok with. That's a whole new thing. I'd like to begin losing again though.

Ok, exercise. Ya ready Laura? I get so exhausted when I do my dance routine that I can't exercise for a few days afterward. My hips get sore, and everything. So, I'm exercising every few days. I think I have to either dance less vigorously or find a low impact exercise for the off days.

Has anyone given Diane the link to over here? I know she like to anonymously read on occasion.

Ok, I must start to fax things about. I have a couple of things that need doing. Big :grouphug: to everyone! I'll check in a bit later!

Nell: I’ve had chronic fatigue since before it had a name, so on the other hand, it’s nice to have doctors at least recognize the existence of the syndrome and not treat you like you are crazy. There is a lot of treatment one can do of a natural sort. MM is a great first start for you. I would say listen to your body and rest when you need to. You might be crashing and burning a bit so if you could find a gentler way of exercising that you could do more often, it might make you feel better. How about yoga?? They offer it on TV quite a bit and it won’t make you sore. It’s strange how energized you can feel after moving so slowly. I have to think it has a lot to do with getting oxygen to all of your ‘parts’.

I'm off to turn in ad copy. It's brilliant thanks to my Mom who hasn't lost it at 73. She used to own an ad agency:wizard:

Do you all remember how that Godiva ride came about? It was a light hearted way to address a deep issue - when Pony said she didn't like to see herself naked and I said by next summer you will be riding through town naked on a pony with your hair down. You are so right, Nell, we need a place to let our hair down and a place to laugh ourselves out of the doldrums! I love that about us!:rotfl:

OK, Am I the only one AWAKE this morning??? Y'all stayed up late gabbing I see!! Well, I must admit I had a wonderful cozy chat with the man last might myself!! OMG, I really do like him alot, and boy does that tick me off!! I actually watch my phone and wait for his calls! How pathetically "school-girl" is that!! :lovestruc

Bev and Lisa - your relationships sound so romantic...I can only WISH, that someday Ken turns out to be my "knight in shining armor" too!

OK Lisa - so NO messing with the drinks! No weird additives or anything, just let me have this ONE THING straight up!! Hey, I just thought of something...if you eat alot of "grasses" then you must be an honorary "PONY"!! Just had a visual of you out grazing in the fields of High Point Farm with the ponies!!:rotfl: I bet we have some sort of weird grass out there you could add to a meal sometime!!

So do y'all think Aggie is going to be GL's new apprentice dictator? Kinda feels that way to me....almost feel bad for the newbies! But if you really read some of the last few weeks posts at LCF, it seems that most of them were really taking alot of liberties with the plan that all of us would NEVER have tried...I guess we are just more hard core...and I really do think that Diane taakes us seriously because we DO take the plan seriously and try to do things the way she recommends instead of constantly trying to find ways to cheat and amend things. JMHO:confused3

Jocelyn - I have not tried the Bailey's recipe yet...I was waiting for the holidays, since it seems it only keeps for two weeks in the fridge? But darn it if I can track down that SF Davinci's Irish cream, then its all out party time here in Virginia!!:woohoo:

Natalie - you got me figured out girl! Nell DEFINITELY lost me with the pukeweed!! Given the options of my Marlboro Lights vs. Pukeweed? hmmmm M.L. win hands down!!!:yay::yay::yay:

Kate - had a very nice chat with China...he is so sweet to carve out time in his busy days there to talk to me...I totally forgot what time he said it was there? :cloud9:

Barb - I agree, that highlighting on LCF to lead you to a Netrition order always ticked me off...and I NEVER ordered anything? Headed straight to Amazon!!

Kathy - continuing prayers for not only Michael, but especially for you and Mike...its hard to pursue the "tough love" route, but in my years with the PD I have seen many families have to make that decision whether to protect themselves and their other children by stepping away and letting the child learn the hard way. BTW, chestnuts are pretty good, especially roasted...not sure of the fat content in them though. I have a Lovely Black Walnut tree down by my barn and it producecs nuts every other year. This is an ON year so me and the squirrels are already hoarding them away!! Its is so cute to see the little squirrels with a big ole black walnut in their mouths running across the yard! I gather up a huge bucket of them and then set them out on my back deck over the winter...just in case there is a squirrel family out there who is running a few nuts short!!:santa:

Robin, you're suppose to feel that way when you're falling in love!! Thats all them endorphins flying around in your head!! enjoy it!:dance3:

Hey Laura!! Glad you made it here!! It is great because Bev set this up so it is almost like LCF, but with lots of smilies we are having a ball with, plus like Kate said, we can have our smaller group of friends together, with no one deleting our posts or trying to get us to buy stuff from them!! And we can chit chat about our personal stuff without anyone over there geting all huffy and trying to make us feel bad about it! Its really great here and we are so happy!! Even better now that we have our exercise and water police back with us!!

Pony's exercise report: I have been religiously going to the gym after work (10:30pm) now for two weeks, am working out with a trainer once a week, and feel GREAT!! My blood sugar readings really dropped drastically too! I really hope this will jump start some inch losses for me!

Morning Kate!

Pony--very proud of you and your exercise!!:yay::yay::yay:

Hi guys! Just got home from work. Now to clean my house. Anyone want to help?
I made more whipped cream. Trying to figure out how to make a free filling for the pumpkin roll.
Ok, if you make whipped cream, I strongly suggest using the Torani or Davinci s/f syrups. Also, I found using splenda tastes much better than the stevia. Don't know why, as I prefer the stevia. I actually use the stevia in the raw. It doesn't leave hardly any after taste.
Anyway, I didn't have any syrup, so I used pure vanilla, with the stevia. I also mixed in some l/f cream cheese. The vanilla flavor just doesn't make it and the stevia has an after taste.
But all in all, with the cream cheese, it stiffened it up a bit to be able to use as a filling. So I think using the previous mentioned things, I have the filling figured out. Tonight making my homemade jello too. I really like jello for a snack. Feels like I'm indulging almost a guilty indulgence. :thumbsup2
Ok, going to catch up on some posts now.
Having a good day today too!!

Sunnee :hippie:

glad to hear you're doing so well:cheer2::cheer2:

OMG - that is the one type of law my attorneys hate to practice. We have only one family case still in our practice and it has been on-going for over 10 years. They did finally get divorced, but the Ex Husband is hiding assets, etc. They both come from monied farming families and were married for about 25 years, so there are a ton of issues about dividing property. I am appalled at the amount of money it has cost so far and there is no end in sight. You could buy a decent home in our area for what she has paid us in those 10 years.

It is amazing how a good family attorney can make such a difference in the lives of people who are suffering.

My ex-husband and I seperated in 2001. He will not sign the divorce papers. Nothing left to fight over (which I didn't even fight), he just won't sign. He has been in Pittsburgh for the last 5 or 6 years. He just won't sign them. Guess I'll have to dish out more money and just take him before the judge. This divorce thing has been a real nightmare. He wouldn't even sign the papers to sell the house, then he declared bunkruptcy. Real nightmare.

Well, I'm by no means evil but I do like the thought of posting something like" Hi, what is this plan, I have no money for a book or food but I like meat and potatoes" ;)

'oh no you didn't' Barb too funny if you did though!!:rotfl:

I put organic basil sauce 6 carb from Trader Joes with some ground turkey and a lot of spinach. Tom had the leftovers tonight. It was great! I don't know what took me so long to get a spaghetti squash! We liked it even better than spaghetti. But then I eat a lot of grass:rotfl:
Lisa, eat all the grass you'd like. Just don't smoke any of it :lmao:

:lmao::lmao::lmao::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

When my Mom asked the doctor in KY to prescribe melatonin for my grandfather so he would stop walking the halls at night he called her a 'pot smoking hippie from CA'!! Then he prescribed the melatonin, LOL! Yeah, we just eat grass and not the kind you put in brownies!:rotfl2:
