thanks for the giggle Lisa!! Just wondering, did Tom do them for his cancer? I already told Robin she could be exempt from doing these LOL

Howdy folks, first break FINALLY!

Lisa - that is so sweet that you guys miss all my blabbing day and night! LOL, I guess only posting from work makes me quick instead of going on and on! Meatless Monday is a great idea...like I said, I dont think I would have much trouble cutting back on the meat, it would be much harder to give up the cheese...I use half and half although not too much, but cheese in LOTS of stuff...probably wouldnt hurt me to try a week without it though...I just run out of idea for things I can prepare ahead, since I cant cook during the week...I have to cook on the weekend and have stuff ready to bring to work...

Kathy - OMG OMG OMG!! Coffee enemas? :scared1: cindy too? What in the WORLD? Oh Lordie Be, I swear ya'll just freak me out sometimes! I guess I can understand the enema part, but why coffee? Go ahead, fill me in, I think I can take it! I like the oatmeal with truvia idea, but Jorge is dead set against splenda...so I guess that makes my Davincis all off limits? Darn, and I love those things! Maybe just a bit wouldnt hurt?

I have had my Doc check thyroid about 5 times the past several years, as I have EVERY symptom of thyroid issues, but they alwasy come back in normal range and she just will not treat me without those test coming back abnomral...I have BEGGED...she offered to send me to an endo, thats it, and of course that will cost me a fortune...what to do? I wish there was some form of thryoid med or supplement we could get without the Doc!

Hi Pam - yeah, the dial up is causing me fits...Disboards did some kind of maintenance one night and it has been trouble ever since, but only here...I can still access all my other sites...so not sure what the deal is. apparently it affected a bunch of other users too, and they posted a bunch of things to try, but nothing has worked for me. I did download another browser, but havent tried that yet! It will probably be another 10 years before they get high speed out in my neck of the woods!

No, he didn't since his cancer was contained to one area and was removed via surgery. The book we read that got us through everything recommended it, though. The Cancer Battle Plan. Really inspirational book by a woman who had Stage 4 breast cancer - that was about 10 years ago. She survived!

Robin: Did you give your doctor those chapters I gave you? She's kind of in the dark ages relying on those numbers. JMHO. There are supplements you can take if you can find a good advisor at the health food store or naturopathic practioner. You know who gave me my thyroid? My gyn since he's responsible for my bioidentical hormones and they are so related, I took the information to him. Not only did he prescribe Armour thyroid for me, he said the information would help his wife. He's been in practice for probably 35 years! Old dog, new information. Thank God he was open to it.

Robin, so nice to see you this evening!!
The reason you use coffee is so the caffeine in it will open up the bile ducts, making the purge easier. It's not really that bad. I heard to use 1 tbs. coffee per cup. I did another one today and managed to hold 4 cups. It is such a good feeling when your done! The whole experience wasn't anything like I thought it would be. I could picture coffee all through the bathtub (that's where I'm doing it as I don't have anywhere else to hang the bottle) but there wasn't any at all! It was such a clean "procedure". It sounds much, much worse than it is.

Cindy, on you tube there is someone who taped their colon hydrotherapy, so I did watch it. It was taped very well and was extremely informative. I would love to have that done. I think I may need to find someone near here that does it. Even if it's an hour away, it would be worth it to me. I am really excited about all this eating, flushing, detoxing. I actually feel like I could do a repeat of step 1!! But I am enjoying my oatmeal.

I am so glad it was localized! What an inspiration that she has survived this long. I think the media is so into "the bad" of everything, and we all need to see all the positives. I believe if you see enough negative things, they begin to happen to you. Sort of if you see it/hear it enough, you become it.
I am so glad Tom is doing well and that he has you to take such good care of him. :lovestruc

This is the same thing that is happening to me. It is sooo frustrating. Yesterday at the reflexologist, he took one look at me and told me mine was getting lazy. He said he can tell by the belly fat and the little bit of double chin I have. I have an appointment with my OB/GYN on Monday, and he is great. I am going to take my book into him and tell him to run the tests for me. I have been going to him since I was 16, so he knows my whole history. He knows when I tell him I'm worried about something, I'm not making it up. I actually look forward to seeing him. He is the kindest man doctor I have ever had. I just have to remember no enema that day!:lmao::lmao:

Here's a little coffee enema education for you:

Why Coffee Enema Cleansing Works
The effects of a coffee enema are different than a saline enema. The most important difference between a saline enema and a coffee enema is the presence of caffeine in the coffee. Caffeine, theophylline and theobromine, combine to stimulate the relaxation of smooth muscles causing dilatation of blood vessels and bile ducts. The effects of having a coffee enema are not the same as drinking coffee. The veins of the anus are very close to the surface of the tissue. The caffeine is therefore absorbed more quickly (and in higher concentration) than it is in when coffee is drunk.

Benefits of Enemas and Colonics with Coffee
Enemas and Colonics have been used for hundreds of years, and are generally regarded as safe. Additionally, coffee cleansing enemas have a chemical makeup that is stimulative. The enzymes in coffee, known as palmitates, help the liver carry away the toxins in bile acid. The coffee is absorbed into the hemorrhoidal vein, then taken up to the liver by the portal vein. With the bile ducts dilated, bile carries toxins away to the gastro-intestinal tract. Simultaneously, peristaltic activity is encouraged because of the flooding of the lower colon. Thus, when the colon is evacuated, the toxins and bile are carried out of the body.

Basically helps remove the toxins in your body and gives most people a little burst of energy.

Just remember ladies, don't get it mixed up. The meat doesn't go into the whoohoo, or you'll need that coffee there later!!:thumbsup2

I think it would be great for you. We watched it too just so I knew what I was getting myself into. My hydrotherapist was great. We didn't see anything out of the ordinary but she had a jar with a big tape worm/parasite in it from one of her clients. It was pretty gross. Glad I didn't see one of those going through the little glass tube!!

Thanks Cindy!! You explained it much better than I did LOL.

They say everyone has parasites/worms, but in my world, I don't LOL. I do so want to have it done. I have a feeling I'll have to go to Monroeville to get it done though. I doubt anyone around here would do it. I'll have to ask my reflexologist when I go next week.
I guess I won't be able to use :surfweb: anymore since that isn't where my coffee ends up :lmao:

Did you have much difference in how you felt afterward between the two? I would think the hydrotherapy would give a better result than the enema. From what I gathered from watching, it just seems to be a bit more in depth and longer.

OK, y'all are making me totally NAUSEOUS now! :lmao: Im not even sure what to think anymore! LOL

Lisa - I couldnt even get her to read those pages...and she is YOUNG too, and also really wonderful with every other thing except this...very open, takes lots of time with me...and to make it worse, she is also my gyno! So I guess my only option would be to try another doctor...not sure if that would be worth it? What if I run into the same wall with another doc...I just cant afford to go doc to doc...

Kathy and Cindy - I will definitely stay open minded and at least research this thing...OMG whoohoos and coffee and my head is spinning! Im going home! Talk to you guys tomorrow! :rotfl2:

Definitely a big difference. The first one wasn't very good...not a lot of action. The 2nd one was great a much better result. Coffee enemas don't get as deep. You are right...but they do a good job too.

Another thing that is good for removing toxins is dry brushing your skin before you shower with a big brush. Not only does it get rid of dry skin, but it also gives the pores a chance to rid toxins after you brush while you are in the shower.

Have a safe trip home, Robin. I'll try to catch up in the morning with you before we leave.

How would I find one say in the yellow pages or online? Would I look under alternative medicine?

As for the dry brushing, I have a boar's hair brush that is never used. Would that work? I also have a small loofah (small round one) for your face that I was using to itch Mike's back when it gets itchy. Would something like that work better? I know your skin needs to breath also, and if I remember right, that's why you dry brush. Am I thinking right? LOL
