Surprisingly, he didn't have that big of an ego in person. He was there to interview a boxer named China Smith. I'd never heard of him but a woman in my department knew him so that's how I got to meet Geraldo.
He was sitting in front of our big Christmas tree in our lobby but I guess it could have looked like he was standing because he was in a pretty high chair.....and yeah, I saw him on Bill O'Reilly while I was talking to a friend and said "hey, that's our Christmas tree." I mean duh, I saw him and met him, but somehow seeing that made it more real.
This is one person that gets on my last nerve whenever I watch him on tv, but I did meet him in person at the airport once and he was the most down to earth, nice person you ever want to meet, we all really did like him a lot.
Hey, fellow Unicorn! I'm not a Geraldo fan, but I think it's great that you got to see him in person. I think that it's exciting when you get to see a celebrity. What did he say when you met him?
I saw on the news he was in town for the govenors wedding in St. Petersburg. He probably tried to get as many interviews in the area that he could and a live shot in front of the Anthony house since it's only a couple hours away from St Pete.
We sat next to him at the Beach Club pool a few years ago. I said to DH whose the guy wearing the suit at the pool- OH MY It's Geraldo! He was there with his kids. And a "disney suit" sitting there to attend to his every whim.
He seemed nice enough to me. (but I think that was shortly after the failed Vault opening. )
I believe his schedule was Orlando to St. Pete to Sarasota yesterday. And he basically said "nice to meet you, too" when I said how nice it was to meet him. One person said I should have gotten an autograph but that just didn't feel right since I was at work.
