George W. Bush or John Kerry

Cutting and pasting does not constitute a discussion of fact.

You know, the last couple of times I've responded to you, I've attempted to not be insulting to you. I won't continue with that effort if you insist on responding to posts I make with your little passive/agressive digs...especially when I wasn't even directing my post to you in the first place.

Peachgirl, I find you very insulting and very condescending. I've asked you questions in several posts that you refuse to answer. I have concluded it's because you don't know the answers. Instead of answering, you come out slinging those insults you're so good at (that you have just stated you will now start slinging again at me), and neglect to discuss anything fact-based that might be negatively directed at Kerry.

Cutting and pasting with a willingness to discuss what we're reading is material to discuss, refute, agree, disagree, etc. All you seem to do is dismiss anything attributed positively towards Bush and embrace anything negative attributed to him. You dismiss factual information when it doesn't suit you. Your arguments completely lack substance, Peachgirl. But, you have a quick tongue (fingers) and are fast with the flames.

Fine, that's three times in a row you've posted insulting posts to me when I've said nothing insulting to you.

When I posted on this thread, I was not talking to you. Why you feel the need to comment on every post I put up is beyond me, but hey, if that's what floats your boat, fine.

I find you very insulting and very condescending.

Then quit posting to me!

I've asked you questions in several posts that you refuse to answer.

Ummm...That's because I don't have to do what I don't want to do. I tried to avoid saying it, but I don't like your posts. I think they're boring and without merit. It's one thing to put up a factoid now and then, but all you do is find articles from extremist sites, post them as factual, then want to chat about them. I don't want to do that and so I don't.

I have concluded it's because you don't know the answers.

Goody for you.

Your arguments completely lack substance, Peachgirl.

Then, one.....more....time....quit posting to me.

If dubya ends up staying in the White House, it will 4 more years of bashing him on the Web, in the press, no respect for America throughout the world, and Americans will have to continue to listen to cheney's front man mangle his native language embarrassing us over and over again.

How Dreadful

How many members of the Bush Administration are needed to replace a lightbulb?
The Answer is TEN:
1. one to deny that a lightbulb needs to be changed,
2. one to attack the patriotism of anyone who says the lightbulb needs to be changed,
3. one to blame Clinton for burning out the lightbulb,
4. one to tell the nations of the world that they are either for changing the lightbulb or for darkness,
5. one to give a billion dollar no-bid contract to Haliburton for the new lightbulb,
6. one to arrange a photograph of Bush, dressed as a janitor, standing on a step ladder under the banner "Lightbulb Change Accomplished",
7. one administration insider to resign and write a book documenting in detail how bush was literally "in the dark",
8. one to viciously smear #7,
9. one surrogate to campaign on TV and at rallies on how george bush has had a strong light-bulb-changing policy all along,
10. and finally one to confuse Americans about the difference between screwing a lightbulb and screwing the country.

It seems we can tell jokes, so here is one, though it is not really a joke I guess

A first grade teacher explained to her class that she was a liberal
Democrat. She then asked her students to raise their hands if they were
liberal Democrats, too. Not really knowing what a liberal Democrat
was, but wanting to please their teacher, hands exploded into the air
like fleshy fireworks.

There was, however, one exception. A girl named Lucy had not gone
along with the crowd. The teacher asked Lucy why she decided to be
different.

"Because I'm not a liberal Democrat," Lucy said.
The teacher asked, "Then what are you?"

"I'm a proud conservative Republican" said the little girl.
The teacher, a little perturbed & red-faced, asked Lucy why she was a
conservative Republican?

Lucy proclaimed, "Well, I was brought up to trust in myself and
freedom, instead of relying on an intrusive government to care for me
and do all of my thinking. My Dad and Mom are conservative Republicans,
and I am a conservative Republican too."

The teacher calmly pointed out, "That's no reason. What if your Mom
and Dad were both morons? What would you be then?"

Lucy answered, "Then, I'd be a liberal Democrat."

Time To Get Out The Bush
How do you know it's time for a major change in American leadership? Let us count the signs

"All those who normally claim that a change in who sits in the Oval Office means nothing are now all frantically waving their arms and shouting their protests and joining the resistance. This election is different. This one matters like never before in history, considering how so many of us underestimated just how much damage a single president's gnarled, hateful administration could unleash upon the world in a single term.

This is the new rallying cry. If you care at all about the soul of this country, if you care at all about women's rights and gay rights and true spiritual freedom and the environment and our international standing, if you care at all about actually reducing the anti-U.S. hatred in the world, as opposed to amplifying it a thousandfold, then oh my god yes, this election matters. "

Peachgirl, you are a master of word manipulation.

I posted some threads, and you did, indeed respond directly to my posts. That is where I first responded to you, and that is where you've accused me of not using facts. I've used articles to start a discussion and commented directly on points regarding those articles that I was questioning. . . you, in fact, chose to enter those threads- -although you do nothing, ever, but insult me and others that disagree with you with your caustic comments. I started DIRECTLY responding to you these past couple of days to point out how after you finish your insults, there's nothing left to your positions.

But, I'm through now if you are.

Would you bet the lives of your children on Kerry's plan to protect this nation.

Damned straight I would. So far, George Bush has been wrong about everything connected with Iraq from WMD's (and spare me the BS " but everybody else thought he had them), to the cost of the war, to the depth of the insurgency, etc.

Would you put the lives of your children in the hands of the UN? That's what Kerry wants to do.

Bull****. You're making this stuff up or listening 1 too many times to the "we distort you decide" Fox news. You show me where Kerry said he put our defense in the hands of the UN.

Make your vote count for something. Vote for the person who can best put a program into play that will protect this country.

I plan to and his name is John Kerry.

[B Does it not bother you that our enemies would rather have Kerry in office than President Bush? Just a thought. [/B]

Really? From where I'm looking, the Al Qaeda's done pretty damned good under George Bush. Osama Bin Laden is still alive. Al Zwahari is still alive. The Al Qaeda movement has gained momentum. And here's the real kicker.........Bush has the US bogged down in a war against someone who was no threat to us and had no connection to 9/11.

Face facts, if you were Al Qaeda, why would you take a chance on what John Kerry would do when you've got a sure thing in George Bush?

First, I got to witness George Bush's ineptness as governor and then as President. All I can say is enough is enough!

John Kerry is far from perfect but I do like a lot about him. So I say to give him a chance. GO Kerry/Edwards!

My original post on this thread was not directed to you at all.
It appears you've gotten your panties in a wad over another thread and another subject and now want to drag it over into this one. That's not a very effective way to debate.

As I said, if you find my posts so distasteful, don't read them or better yet, put me on ignore

You started this one, you can end it anytime you choose.

The last paragraph of that link sums Bush up just so well:

Simonton also suggested, "Bush scores extremely low on integrative complexity. ... This is the capacity to look at issues from multiple perspectives and to integrate that diverse outlook into a single coherent viewpoint. ... Bush finds it hard to view the world in other way than his own. That's why he's so hard to engage in a genuine debate. He can say 'I hear you,' but he really can't."

haha, wvrevy. .
I included the article because there was enough complimentary characteristics attributed to Bush that were based on facts--including IQ, test scores, etc. Every positive comment had something substantial (test score, etc.) to back up the statement.

The author of the article chose to end the article either because he was attempting to remain nonbiased or because he agrees with Simonton. However, you may note that Simonton's comments used NO test scores, no facts, nothing. . .he didn't back up his opinions with facts, he just stated opinion.
