Is anyone a geocacher out there?

I looked on the site, and there are no real caches inside Disneyland, only virtual ones.

I want to make one but am worried about the conception of the cache if found. What do others think? Would this be a horrible idea? Would it be an awesome cache?

I think it would be very cool, except for when someone finds it and thinks its something sinister, when its just a little box with toys in it....

Thoughts?

My family and I also Geocache. When we were in DL back in 2005, there were none then either. I for one would go look for one, but I would be afraid it would not last long in the park. There are SO many people everyewhere I am uncertain how someone would not see you take it out from its hiding spot.

However, if you do place one, you will have to let me know, beacuse we are going back in July and I would go looking for it. :thumbsup2

mommy2allyandaveri, a geocache is some form of an object that is hidden someplace within a location. Using a hand held GPS system a person is able to get close to the location, then have to hunt to find what has been hidden. Depending on the size of the hidden container, people will often times trade little trinkets with each other or if the containeer is small, they would just log on a journal that they found it. These can be found all aorund the world. Here is a great web site that can maybe explain it better. http://www.geocaching.com/

We've done a little geocachaching. I believe you have to get permission from the property owners to "legally" place a cache, don't you? At least I think I read that somewhere. Anyway, I suspect Disney wouldn't go along with it. They're so particular about their landscaping and everything that I doubt they'd want people traipsing (sp?) where they shouldn't be and sneaking around. I do have to say that, if they did allow one to be placed, we'd go searching for sure!!:)
