I keep seeing reports that there is no pirate menu on the Destiny. Do people still dress up for pirate night? Is there basically a pirate night without a special menu?
When I was on the Destiny at the end of January, we did have a Pirate Night menu on the 4-night cruise (rotation was ABBC, with the second 'B' being the Pirate Night menu). We did not have a Pirate Night menu on the 5-night cruise (rotation was ABCAB, with the 'alternate' menus being presented on the second "AB").

That makes sense--each restaurant has one regular menu plus the pirate menu, so that covers the 4 nights. For the 5 night cruises, if each restaurant has 2 menus, that totals six and they don't need a separate pirate night menu. Not saying I agree with the approach, just understand DCL's logic.
We were on the 5-night in mid-Jan. No pirate menu, but that worked out for us, as we were in 1923 on pirate night. I was a little annoyed that our dinner rotation put our one and only dinner in the 1923 dining room on pirate night, but that's how the rotation worked out for us, and was glad we got the normal 1923 menu rather than pirate fare.
