Geo-82 cocktails, any good ones?

I’ve made reservations but looking at the specialty cocktail menu am not too enthused. Nothing looks particularly tasty and I don’t drink beer or wine. Are any of the cocktails a must do? Or a steer clear?

Have not been and I doubt I ever will since the menu is not my style at all.
Anything other than vodka based drinks don't taste very good imo.
To me its one thing if you're at a house party and just toss some alcohol in a cup even if you don't like it.
But its another to spend a ton of money and not really enjoy what you're eating/drinking just to be able to say you were there. (Which is how it would feel to me personally)

The Brown Butter Old-Fashioned was a bit hit with our group. Even those of us that don't really drink bourbon really liked it.
The Banana Espresso Martini was good too.

They will make anything you want, it’s a full bar. I asked for something similar to a Mai Tai and they made something, I can’t remember what they called it.

I completely second this. Bartender suggested this one when I asked what his recommendation was for something not too alcohol forward. Easily one of the best cocktails I’ve had at Disney.

I can’t speak highly enough about the bartenders in there in general. If you’re not feeling the menu there’s a full bar and they will absolutely work with your preferences to make you something tasty.

That's what I'm going to get! My husband will get the bourbon. We aren't getting any food, just the drinks.
Then after we have dinner at Via Napoli where we will have pizza and wine!

Just got back Tuesday, and I hit Geo 82 for the first time on Sunday. The Old Fashioned was excellent - the brown butter counters the bourbon and smooths it all out wonderfully - even for someone who isn't as into bourbons...though it does help that they use a very good bourbon. Also the strawberry coconut right hand was very good - despite being a rum drink with strawberry and coconut where you might expect a tropical sweet explosion - it is NOT a sweet drink - it's a very complex, nicely layered drink similar to a negroni (with rum rather than gin), and the strawberry/coconut just lend a hint of fruit notes.

A friend ordered a strawberry margarita, and the person next to me at the bar ordered a negroni...both were said to be excellent...you can order almost any drink you can think of - the bar is fully stocked, with a range of mid-level to very high end liquors (no real cheap stuff). Whether you get a rum, tequila, whiskey, vodka, or gin drink, you're generally getting a decent quality liquor, and can go nuts with any high end stuff if you want to - they've got Louis X!!! Cognac ($4K+ bottle), Macallan M ($8K+ bottle), 1971 Last Drop Whisky ($4K+ bottle), Pappy van Winkle 23 year ($3K+ bottle) - those are all street prices, NOT Disney prices...I can only imagine what Disney charges for some of these. They did quote me a $350 2 oz pour of Louis X!!!...which actually is surprisingly good considering a few other Disney bars charge $150 for a 1/2 oz pour.

I really enjoyed the clarified New York Sour, kinda a whiskey sour topped with wine. You can also get the non-alcoholic drinks with alcohol added, my mom got the A Walk Through the Garden with gin added and it was really good. They can also make drinks not on the menu to an extent.

I was just there for the first time and would advise steering clear of the Carmelized Leek Martini. I was SO excited to try this one, as I like gin martinis well enough and ADORE leeks... but the flavors just weren't great. The other 2 in my party agreed that something just tasted off. (They were also "meh" on the beverage menu so ordered wine.) That said, the ambiance in there is awesome and I honestly can't wait to go back! I'll probably get a standard bar cocktail or a glass of of wine if it's still the same menu when I return...

I ordered the Strawberry Coconut Righthand and my husband ordered the High Brow Batanga. We ended up switching drinks after we took a few sips. I loved the Batanga and would definitely recommend it. It was not as alcohol forward as the Righthand, but definitely not overly sweet either. Enjoy Geo-82!

Best time of day to go truly depends on your Epcot day plan. If you are a foodie and into fancy champagne/drinks and small bites, you might want to consider the fireworks package. I haven't done it, as that's not my thing and it's pricey, but you might love it!

If that's not your thing, I recommend going early in your Epcot day. We had an ADR at Geo-82 @ 12:00 and it was perfect! We had two very well-made cocktails and a cheese board, with a perfect view, and that was a great way to start our Epcot day! After Geo-82 we leisurely strolled around WS with a few glasses of wine and took in some QS bites as well as all the sights and sounds! We were not there during a festival time, but if you are you will have plenty of food/drink options after Geo-82. Enjoy your trip!

I’m not at all averse to pricey upcharge experiences and enjoy many of them, but this is one I think is a profound waste of money. I had a normal ADR that went into fireworks time when I went over Labor Day weekend and got to watch fireworks from the bar for a whole lot less. I looked at what the package people below got for it in terms of food and drink and none of that justified the premium to me. Their view was certainly not worth the premium as mine was really no worse, arguably a bit better even given the bar is slightly elevated from the tables similar to Space 220. The music is piped in all the same. It’s not like Cali Grill where you get a truly special experience compared to just normally eating there during fireworks.

I would strongly recommend just getting a normal ADR around that time. Mine was 8:10 iirc.
