We are flying in on a direct Flight that should get us to EP around 11am during May. Would it be wise to purchase Genie+ that morning, when we get there, or skip it altogether? That night is also EMH for Deluxe guests. We would love to get LL for Remy but, would hate to pay for it to miss it.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

I think you have a couple different items in your questions. Sorry if you already knew this.... First, remember that Genie+ and ILL$ are separate, so you do not need to purchase Genie+ to make an ILL$ for Remy at EP. Second, while Genie+ attractions are shown with 'next available' time slots, ILL$ has some flexibility in allowing you what time slot you'd like to buy it for (similar to the old FP+ system) - so you could potentially buy a Remy ILL$ for that evening. If it were us, and if I understand your situation correctly, I'd get a park reservation for EP (or evening another park and then hop to EP, if that's an option), buy an ILL$ for Remy for the evening, forget buying G+ that day, and enjoy many of the attractions later in the day and into the EMH. Of course, that's just one plan to choose from!!! I'm sure you'll get other good ideas, too. Enjoy your trip!

Our scenario sounds exactly like yours. We will arrive around 11am on a Monday, so extended hours that night for Epcot. We are staying at an Epcot area resort so planning to go to Epcot that day, but as of now I am not planning to buy Genie+ for that day. I just don't think it's necessary, for a couple of reasons. Most advice I've seen is that Epcot doesn't necessarily need Genie+ to begin with. We are buying Genie+ for Epcot later in the week. And, we are staying DVC so we'll be able to use the extended hours.

My plan is to hit Epcot and go to our ADR while we wait for our room to be ready, then go to the room when available and spend some time relaxing and settling in. I'm crossing my fingers my family is in good enough shape to do the extended hours after a nice rest.

Thanks, I knew that G+ and LL are different, but couldn't recall if you could "pick a time" for LL attractions.

Remy is a part of the extended night hours, so id just ride it standby. Unless reports have changed, the extended night hours are not super busy so the wait to ride remy shouldnt be too bad.
