Genie+ Selection and Wait Times Confusion

Reading through the Disneyland website explaining Genie+ and Lighting Lanes, I noticed this:

Once you’ve redeemed your initial selection (or the arrival window has passed), you can use the Disney Genie service Tip Board or My Day itinerary to see when you’re eligible to make another selection. You can make selections, one at a time, all day up to regular park closing, subject to availability and limited to one Lightning Lane selection per attraction per day.

And in the FAQs section, this answer:

You’ll be eligible to make your next selection after your currently selected arrival window has either started or been redeemed. You’re also eligible to make another selection if you’re currently holding on to a selection that has an arrival window that’s more than 2 hours from the time the selection was made.

Why didn't they just state the second part above in the first explanation? Should I "consult" Genie+ for my eligibility for another LL attraction -which they could vary? Is that the point? Or can I count on once I scan (redeem) my Genie+LL selection that I'll be making another as I proceed through the LL queue? AKA MP.

Same with this explanation on the ILLs:

Guests may purchase and select the next available arrival window for up to 2 attractions per day.

OR

...you can also purchase a Lightning Lane entry arrival window for up to 2 individual attractions each day after entering a park.

So, I can purchase an "entry arrival window" which is the "next available arrival window"....Right? Ok, could they just say it the same way in both places? NEXT ONE. Right? Not like WDW where you can choose the arrival window.

Nit picky, I know. But this stuff just bugs sometimes. Makes everything more confusing and prone to scrutiny. Of course, I could just wait to hear how it goes tomorrow! :rotfl2:

If anyone tries it out, please let me know!

Replying instead of editing because I'm not sure if this is the right. Maybe others will be able to verify or weigh in.

Could the weird language be a Park Hopper issue? Like if you opened in DCA and wanted Genie+LL for Space, perhaps you should "consult" Genie+ for when you could make a DL selection? And does that have to be after 1pm when you are "eligible" for entry into that Park ?

Same thing with ILL. If start DL but want WEBSlingers for ILL, guess I'm not purchasing the "next" window, right?

I really don’t see the issue. The FAQ states the “rule.” The first part above that you quote offers a “tool” to help folks see the rule in action.
