There is both good and bad to using
Genie+. We used it last week and was able to take advantage of some of the tweaks to the pass availability, and also longer park hours. Both of which allowed for longer availability for the top rides.
The good - you should almost always be able to book your top ride if you're on first thing in the morning. You might also be able to grab your second top pick at 2 hours after park opening. In most cases, you should also be able to book 2-3 additional rides, so that's 4-5 rides without a long wait.
The bad - short waits aren't guaranteed. I was in line for Soarin' using LL for 30+ minutes and the ride wasn't down. Nearest available time could be on the other side of the park, or as you try to stack for times that work, you're going all over the park. With Epcot, we walked from front to one side of WS, to the other side of WS, to the front of the park, to the land, to back of WS. Basically, its a lot of walking for low return value there, but can happen in any park.
Return times for low quality rides that typically have short waits will generally have return times 20-45 minutes away, medium quality rides are going to be 1-3 hours away and top quality rides will be 5-8 hours away. Some of the top quality rides you will only have 1 or 2 shots to get - either they'll be gone before your second selection at 2 hours after park opening, or they'll be gone sometime after that, but before your third selection.
