Genie plus and park hopping

We are at Studios at the moment almost 2.30pm now. We are eligible to book another pass - going to Epcot in a few minutes and thought after 2pm we would be able to book our next ride over at Epcot but cannot.
Do we have to have physically hopped to the next park before booking Genie plus? We dont have to book our second park today do we?

You shouldn't have to have park hopped you should just be able to change the park in your tip board to Epcot and book. What error are you getting when you try to book?

Did you use your most currently booked g+ yet? If not, I believe you would have to wait 2 hours from you most recently booked g+ to make another.
Maybe that’s it?

We used Genie+ to stack passes in the evening at the park we planned to hop to, usually MK. On your tip board you need to change the park..once done every 2 hours you can book a pass for later.

It must not have been 2 hours since you booked your last LL reservation. Park hopping does not change when you are eligible to book another LL reservation.
