Genie & Boarding Pass on Check In Day

We are staying at SSR July 8-15th but driving down and staying at near by Flamingo Crossing hotel on the night of the 7th since we are driving down and arriving late. Are we considered guests of SSR as of 7 am on the 8th to get Genie and boarding pass for guardians? We did set online check in as arriving before 7am, do we need to physically go and check in first before 7am for everything to work at 7?

You don't need to physically check in. You will be considered a resort guest in MDE so the system will let you book a Guardians ILL if you want to. In February I did an early morning arrival to Port Orleans Riverside and I had no issues with ILLs and early entry. Genie+ and the Guardians virtual queue are for all guests (resort guests and offsite) so it doesn't matter where you're staying to start booking those.
