Generic Allegra??

So CVS just filled my last prescription of Allegra as it is now over the counter.
What is the best generic that anyone has found. Of course, now it won't be covered by prescription plan!!
I have taken it dailly for years so need to stay on it....if I dont take it, I get a histamine release causing itchiness/welts!!

I got 120 pills for $29 at Costco (they also have generic Claritin and generic Zyrtec). Look for the bottle with the purple cap, same color as the Allegra package. I haven't noticed any difference in the generic from the original.

Was just going to post the same. If you can take the Zyrtec it's 350 pills for $16.00.

Costco! Home of the giant bottles of everything. DS has been using their generic Zyrtec for two seasons now, works great.

Costco. I take loratidine (generic for Claritin), and get a year's supply for $14. They have similar deals for the other generic versions of the popular antihistamines.

BTW, Zyrtec is known for causing itching, etc., if you stop taking it suddenly. The OH found this out unexpectedly and unpleasantly in the middle of a long cruise.

I don't have a Costco membership, but I get the generic at Sam's Club for $29 for 90 pills. Haven't noticed a difference between it and the prescription stuff I used to get. Even my allgergist recommended the generic to save money and said it works just as well.
