Is it well stocked with breakfast items? I'm only planning on grabbing tonic (or soda, for you non-New Englanders! LOL!), and waters for our grocery stop with Tiffany because I want to run into the liquor store, too.

So I'm hoping that I can pick up stuff at the store at OKW. I don't care if it's more money, but I'm talking about english muffins, peanutbutter, cereals, milk, blueberry muffins, coffee, etc.

Thanks!

You can download a full list of items available (PDF format) from the member website. I believe all of the things you listed are available.

Harambe-

I found that there were actually more things for sale at the store, then is listed for purchase on the downloadable order form. The first thing that comes to mind was that you could buy both a dozen, as well as 1/2 dozen carton of eggs. From what I've seen it's proably the best of the DVC stores.

Also the fruit are limited, and theres basically no veggies. If you want anything like grapes or salad stuff, it's proably best to get them at a 'real' store.

As TJ said, there is an order form on the member website...you can have these things delivered directly to your villa. The prices are higher...but not too bad except for the soda. Only a $5 fee. Lots of breakfast choices.

Thanks for the quick replies! Forgive a newcomer to this DVC board, but where is the members website that you are referring to - are you saying I can fill out a form and fax it down to OKW and they will put these groceries right in the 1 bedroom for us? That would be super!

The website is dvcmembers.com. You have to register. Then go to vacation planning, and to vacation planning tools. You'll then see the link to get the shopping lists.

Yup, you sure can. DVCconvert gave you good directions on the site. They'll charge you "Disney" prices for the food items, which is about 1.5-2 times what you would pay in any other grocery store. And there is a one-time delivery charge of $5.

If you want to do the shopping yourself or happen to run out of something during your stay, the list should still give you an idea of what you will find in the General Store. All of the items on the printout are stocked regularly.

Is it safe to assume the groceries at SSR are about the same as the aforementioned at OKW?

The prices will be exactly the same:)

:sunny:

There are a couple of minor price differences (5 to 10 cents) and one missing item on the SSR list compared to OKW (decaf coffee). Other than that they are indentical.

I assumed they were all the same. The only reason I thought to checkis that we are going to VB this Spring and it's off site, I figured they might have different items. (They do, as well as HH.)

we jsut came back from OKW and the store is well stock with breakfast items..................all you listed they have and more.

On Thanksgiving Day, I realized I did not have any vegetables to go with my turkey dinner I was preparing. I ran to the OKW General Store and picked up two cans of corn, lol. You should be fine with your breakfast items!

Just got back from OKW. The General Store has all the items you mentioned and more. They also sell beer and liquor. They also have toiletries and health items. The breakfast items (muffins, etc.) weren't too outrageous, but I bought a 2 liter bottle of diet coke (husband diabetic) and it was $3.50. Now that's ridiculous when you can get a 2 liter for $.99 when it's on sale!! :earseek:

We did not find the prices at the store to be that bad. They were comparable to nonsale prices at most groceries, and actually a little bit below most convenience stores. Of course, there are exceptions so you need to watch (e.g., the $3.50 2 liter bottle).

Thanks again, everyone! I am really looking forward to this stay at OKW (and I'm so afraid I won't make it back to Boston without buying into DVC! LOL!). And now the food issue is one less thing for me to worry about.

Thank you!
