General questions about the park reservation system

Thanks for the replies.

You would think if there were "day of" reservations still available at a particular park when you check, what would it matter if I had already been to one that day?

I thought since we were going to be at a skyliner resort we might take a break a go back to Epcot or HS.
Can you leave the park and come back to the same park with the park pass reservation?

NVM found my answer. :)

If you cancel a hotel reservation does that cancel your park reservations? I want to possibly change hotels but don't want to lose park reservations.

According to WDW's website,

...To enter a park, both a park reservation and valid ticket or pass for the same park on the same date is required...

What does a park reservation mean?

thank you!

With a 5 day ticket, can I make park reservations for 4 days, leave the 5th day "unreserved" and make a reservation for the 5th day while I am there (assuming there is availability at the park I want)?

I don't see why not if you can cancel and rebook on same day. But depending on when you are going, you might want to make the reservation and then cancel and change it if you decide on a different park.

I canceled my room reservations a couple of weeks ago and just realized my park reservations are still intact.

Will these get canceled or do I have to cancel myself?

I apologize if this has been discussed already (probably has). I am an AP holder staying on site in September. As I understand it, I retain my 3 days as an AP holder, but am also granted additional days for the length of my stay. I assume if I am staying 1 night, that would grant me 2 park days as a resort guest? The day I check in + the day I check out? Also, is it possible to book one park using an AP day and another park using a resort day, on the same date to allow park hopping in a sense? Thanks!

It may be helpful for you to visit the Disney website to get more details. With an AP and a resort stay, your AP is your ticket for the length of stay. It’s one park per person per day.

No park hopping, the system won't let you. But you will be able to book 2 days of reservations during your one night stay, it'll pull from the on site pool of spots and not the ap pool of spots

My wife is not sure if she can go to EPCOT with the rest of the family tomorrow.

I am reluctant to cancel her Park Pass reservation until we are sure.

She made the reservation using a 4 day pass. What happens if it is not cancelled prior to the reservation date?

Does she still lose that day from her 4 day pass?

Does Disney penalize her in some other way?

I checked Disney's website, but the exact policy was unclear.
