General questions about the park reservation system

So, I found a great price on airfare, room availability at POP for my dates, but when I look at the calendar for park reservations it shows no availability for any parks on any days. Is this correct? Or maybe there is a glitch in the WDW website? I know their IT department can't keep up with demand most times. I don't want to go and not go to a park. Any insight?

What are your dates?

I want to go the last week of July, I'm flexible about exact days in the parks. Probably 3 days anywhere from July 27 to the 31st or Aug 1st.
I'm not sure if I am using the reservation calendar correctly, maybe it is my error!

did you click on the link I posted? if you are a resort guest there's availability

Has anyone noticed if previously unavailable (full) days become available again if some guests have canceled their plans? Would like to go to DHS on the 15th, but it's all booked. Just wondering if I should bother to keep checking the availability calendar or not

people have reported getting reservations on days that didn't show anything.

Has anyone tried to cancel their park reservation when they leave a park at the end of the day, say when Magic Kingdom closes, and then try to make a park reservation for EPCOT? A back door park hop.

Sorry it’s a little early to ask this as Epcot is not open.

They've been pretty clear that won't be an option but it doesn't hurt to try

Hate to sound dumb, but "where" can you check on the park's availability? I want to switch days too, but need to see if the park I want is open. Thank you. NEVER Mind....just found it.

I've had luck booking reservations for parks that the availability calendar said was full. I just kept trying to make reservations every few hours. I eventually got what I wanted. I would treat getting reservations like getting an FP or ADR- just keep trying.

I made a December reservation for Pop Century but we really want to stay at Wilderness Lodge which is not yet accepting reservations. If it does open up, I make a WL reservation, and then cancel the Pop reservation, will my Park reservations be cancelled? Thanks.

as this is a brand new system we don't have answers on that sort of situation yet until someone experiences it and reports back. I would recommend calling Disney and asking

We are heading down to Disney Friday and was wondering if anyone knows if you can leave the park for a dinning reservation or to go cool down for a little while and come back later on with the new park reservation system in place

Does anyone know if the Disney Springs Resorts (hilton, wyndham LBV, etc.) that are normally ones that give the 60 day fastpass priority are included in the "resort" parkpass availability?

How soon can one make a new reservation for a park when one has entered a park with an AP (but not staying onsite)?
Park closing? Midnight? Next morning at 6am?
Wondered how the rolling 3 Day Reservations were actually working. Thanks!
