General Question about Renting DVC Reservations

I understand from the DVC rental rules that I can't post "Want a reservation for X dates at X room type, willing to pay Y" here, but is there somewhere legit that does allow me to leave a request like that?

No. But if you check the Rent/Trade Board for owners who are offering points for rent, you can post your requested dates on their thread.

ETA: Just so that you know, when you make such a post on a R/T thread, you are dealing with that owner. You are not making a general "these are my dates and this is what I'm willing to pay do I have any takers?" post. If that's the kind of post you want to make, there are DVC FB groups that allow it.

I figured that was a long shot but wondered how much haggling takes place.

There may be haggling in private between owners and renters but not via public posts here. Rental agencies have set prices and don't negotiate. They have more renters than they have owners willing to rent their points out. They don't need to haggle with renters.

They do often have last minute confirmed reservations at a discount.
