Hey everyone. Just thought I'd let you know, once again, how things are going.

I'm sooooo close to the end of the semester I can almost taste it! But I still have finals to get through....pretty major tests in Western Civ. and Theatre History. Western Civ. should be easier than the midterm though since we're now on the 20th century- much more familiar territory with the WWI and WWII stuff. Theatre history is straight memorization- he's told us *exactly* what will be on the test...but I hate memorizing long charts and stuff! *whimper* I'm pretty freaked about finals and can't wait for it all to be over. Thursday at 2:30, I'm out of here! I'll be doing the drive home alone again, but since I managed to do it over Thanksgiving break, at least I know I can do it.

Tomorrow, I am going to see a production of Nutcracker for the 3rd year in a row. I don't really want to, especially by myself, but I have to review it for my dance class. I'm also supposed to choreograph a tap dance, only I can't get a hold of my partner! I mis-copied her number and she hasn't tried to call me since she left a message on my phone over Thanksgiving break! She wasn't even in class this week. If I don't hear from her by tomorrow, I'll be forced to do it myself. eek! I can get up and sing for a class myself no problem...but dance?? and a dance I made up on my own??

Today, my friend and I spent the day and Dollywood to check out all the holiday stuff before we went home for the rest of the month. It was a fun, though very cold, day, and oh! did it make me miss WDW! Funny, I realized that I haven't been to a Disney park during the holidays since I was 8. Dollywood has a little light parade, but when you're used to the Electrical parade and Spectro....omigod it was pathetic! Cute- but the music was hard to hear, it was not even 10 minutes long, and walk around animals are no where near as fun when they're not well-known, beloved characters.

While at Dollywood with it's multitude of Xmas stuff, I was thinking how I was probably one of the only Jews in the whole park. Christmas is a strange time for me...you Christians can't imagine what it's like to not celebrate one of the biggest holidays of the year. Dollywood didn't have one lick of Hanukkah related references. I found myself singing songs from Fiddler on the Roof and Rags to myself to make up for it. I always feel a bit left out at Xmas time but even when I do participate in aspects of it, it's like visiting another culture. It's not my holiday. Next year in Orlando, I'll be rooming with a friend who celebrates Christmas- our apartment will have both a tree and a menorah. hehe. My mom is getting me my own menorah to take with me when I move.

Once I surivive finals, guess what? Only one more semester till I am back in Florida! Yahoo! I got a thing in the mail the other day showing exactly what needs to be completed for graduation. Everything is fullfilled by classes I'm taking in the spring! EEE! I'm officially graduating in May! I can't wait...not only to be back in FL but to see my friends there once again. I miss Chris so much, I've been talking to him nearly every night on my new cellphone with it's unlimited nights and weekends. Speaking of which, Chris says he's run into some DISers this week while character greeting. :)

I have only 2 things planned for winter break- going to my high school theatre troupe alumni banquet (yay!) and getting my wisdom teeth pulled (wah!)

I guess that's all for now. My life just isn't as interesting now as it was during the college program....which was now almost 2 years ago! ACK! Where did the time go?

Thanks for the update, Angie. :) Even if it isn't WDWCP stuff, it's still good to hear how life's going for you. :)

Hang in there for the finals! I know it's tough, but you can do it. :teeth:

And be safe when you drive home. It's not as scary the second time around. *hugs*

I'm sorry you feel so left out at Christmas. :(

I remember when I got my letter! I was so happy. I saved it.:D It won't be long now until you can start following your dreams. Have a nice winter break. Good luck with the dancing and the wisdom teeth.;)

So glad to hear from you! I am sure you will do just fine on your finals. College days are almost over! How do you go home from Knoxville? Do you go on 40 to Nashville or some other way?

And yes Angie I can imagine it would be extremely hard at this time of year for you. Once when my DS and DD were in grade school we visited a huge Jewish synagogue in Chattanooga as part of a group learning about different faiths. It was beautiful inside. DS left in awe because he was given special attention since his name was Joseph. He was told he had a great Jewish name and since he was the only one who didn't have a "trendy" name he got to do some special things. I think the rabbi who took us through was Ken Cantor and is in Nashville now. I don't guess you have ever heard of him but we really did enjoy listening to him.

We were at Dollywood a couple of years ago during Christmas. It was cold when we were there too and we didn't really enjoy ourselves because it was so cold.

Well AngieBelle study hard, be careful driving home, and have a wonderful winter break! And keep me posted on Chris!!!;)

Hang in there on those finals, Angie. Like you said..only a few more days! :) My dd Steph is stressing over them too. You are so lucky to see the Nutcracker so many times. My girls are ballet dancers and would love to see it just once. One of these days we will get to Atlanta and see it at the Fox. I know you can see the light at the end of the tunnel now and will be graduating before you know it. :)

Thank you for letting us into your life Angie, it's interesting, and it's been interesting hearing your tone change from a kid, slowly to an adult.
You'll do fine on your tests. :) Just one more semester and you're out of there. lol
Be careful going home. And we will want to hear from you when you get there. :)

I can't believe it's been almost 2 years since your college program days, Angie. Time really does fly. Graduation will come and go before you know it. :) Too bad you're not closer. My dd, Chelsea, would love to go see the Nutcracker with you. She'd be happy to help you with a tap dance as well. That's her favorite type of dance. One of her tap classes won $3,000 this summer in Florida. They are the Tremaine National Junior champions. :)

Hang in there and good luck on your fnals. :)

Good luck with school. Sounds like you have your life in order and are doing great. My DD dances too, you're no doubt, an inspiration to many. :D

So great to read your update, Angie! I really looked forward to all your CP updates when you were there! Have you thought about being a writter?;)

Thanks for the update, Angie. Wish I knew exactly what was going to be on any of my final exams. We're just told "the entire course with a slight emphasis on material since the midterm." Oh gee... thanks for the enlightenment.

Hard to believe that the CP was so long ago for you... I remember watching for those updates all the time! :)

Your last semester is going to go by SO fast!

It's so nice to hear from someone who has set goals and is reaching them.

I know everyone on the CB is so proud of you!:D

Oh, Angie! I know what you mean about getting the info about graduation. We received a large postcard in the mail just this week, as our older DS will graduate in May also. It told us what our graduate needs to do and when. (He'll receive a packet at his local address with details in March.) But we need to make arrangements soon for over-night accomodations for us for his Saturday 9 AM graduation ceremony! It's becoming a reality!
I am another one who has had fun reading about your adventures. True, while now is not as exciting as when you were in the WDWCP, it's fun to hear about college life. (uh - I guess you can tell that my DSs tell me very little!)
Good luck on your finals (esp. the dance!!)
