General Free Dining Bounceback Details?

First, let me say I love this place! I have found so much useful information on these boards!!! I thank you all for participating and helping people like me in searh of answers and opinions.

We are staying at Pop in September this year (2018). In the past we have been offered Bounceback but never did it.

Is it generally a discounted price? I'm assuming they can't guess what next years rates would be.

And does it usually end up being a better deal than the Free Dining that may or may not be offered the following year? For example, if this year I booked a Bounceback for Sept 2019 and then in 2019 Free Dining came out for Sept, which would be the better deal?

I realize, of course, that Free Dining is always up in the air and not a sure thing.

Traditionally the bounceback in September is free dining for the following year, but we won't know what next year's bb will be until the middle of August when the current bounceback is set to expire. If you can book FD as a bb for next year. Do it!

Current package cancellation deadline is now 30 days out. But to answer your question, BB offers are subject to the same cancellation policies as other Disney reservations - 30+ days without penalty for packages, 6+ days online or 5+ by phone without penalty for RO.

If a FD BB is offered and you book it while you are still at Disney then next year you do not have to stress over if it will be offered, will your dates qualify(the BB will have the dates listed) or what will be availability be next year.
and no need be up at 4-5AM on the FD drop date or on hold on the telephone for hours like a lot of people were yesterday.

Yea, I stayed up till the 4 a.m. drop Tuesday and I got so excited when I saw it I literally fell off my couch trying to get to my laptop! My sleeping cats were not amused But, I did get exactly what we had wanted so I am VERY happy about that
