for those of you that are veterans of WDW, are the crowds this year, bigger, smaller, the same versus years past?

we've picked our time thinking that it would be pretty low crowd time but it sounds like some people have been surprised by crowd levels lately. there aren't any super promos during our stay.

so is value time more popular than it used to be?

TIA

IIRC, crowds were lower by 1% during the latest quarter, versus last year, according to Disney's SEC filing.

I think what people are forgetting is that alot of people are able to afford going to Disney now more than ever, so I think the crowds are higher because of that, but if you have to wait in line for 10 or 20 minutes some people think that is too long so it is overly crowded.

I tend to disagree with those, if I have to wait an hour or more than yes it is more crowded than usual, plus they have the celebration going on as well, so more people are visiting.

More people are flying now instead of not at all because they feel safer.

I wouldn't let this bother me though. Can't wait for my next trip!

We visited WDW in May/June, July, and October of 2005. Compared to visits at similar times of the year, we felt that the parks were far more crowded this year.

Attendence is much higher! Although the hotels for some reason aren't filled up the parks themselves are packed. The HCOE has really impacted the attendence amount.
