General bellyaching, Lack of food options within the parks

It's still a suite - like a VIP suite now.

I THINK they are saying where the AP center will be moved to (Plaza Square - next to Coke Corner), not where it currently is (the bank on Main Street).

BTW - we love Wine Country Trattoria and Taste Pilot's - yum. Never had much opportunity to try out the restaurants in DTD as we have so many favorites inside the park........

Yes, this is the current plan. I always want to say Plaza Inn instead of Plaza Square, for whatever reason I cannot remember the SQUARE part. LOL I was thinking about Lakewood wanting to put a restaurant in there. The location would be neat but I think the space is too limited. It would be a restaurant very similar to Carnation Cafe, outdoor seating only and in the cold and wet months they would have to shut it down completely. I'm not sure that would be the best choice for a new restaurant. kwim?

I wish they still gave away the Dream Suite, that would be so neat!!!! It seems like such a waste now. :(

At the end of main street next to adventureland.

OK. When you said to move the AP center it was confusing, since the AP center is still currently in the bank.

But that's right across from a restaurant that's already there...and it looks pretty teensy...but I've never been inside.

Forgot to mention our FAVE meal, the penne pasta with marinara with a big ol' side salad with ranch on the side! Plaza Inn, hubby and I share, and it's plenty of food for us! Only thing better would be two kid's meals with the same penne, along with a side salad to share...less money than the platter, you get two Mickey head plates (we take them home b/c DS likes to eat out of them), and you get carrots AND a small bottled water. Value and good pasta!

That's so not right. Dang.

ct, that isn't right. Sheesh, it should be mandatory that all managers eat at their restaurants.

When we asked him if he had ever eaten there, I am sure that I had been waving a drumstick in his face and I am also sure that Dfi and I were turning different shades of green at the time. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: He gave us a look like " are they werewolves? is it a full moon yet? , just say something and get out of there man!!":lmao: :lmao: too bad.
as an aside, dont you all think that a great place for a new restaurant is where they have HISTK's? I mean, it is a pretty outdated show, and it is huge, so they could put in some kind of entertainment thing there while you eat? just my opinion. Or ,they could put a restaurant in the house of the future, where the Segway "attraction" is. Of course these are crazy ideas..... but I am sure Walt is nodding his head in agreement right now...:rotfl:

Oh the HISTA idea is good!!!! They could totally put something in there, that is a huge space with a stage and everything. Ok, it's been a while since we've done HISTA (does anyone do it anymore? LOL) but aren't the floors slanted? If so they would have to level them.....

BTW, are you sure you ate at Taste Pilots? Because we eat there a LOT, the burgers there are so good!!!!! I usually get chicken but DBF had a burger a couple weeks ago and man, it was goooooooood!!!!!!!

Yes! it was! lol. It was a v. v. dry burger. I usually just want mayo on my burger...but this time I kept adding condiments just to get it down. I probably got it on a bad day...but that one bad day was enough to make me not go back again and always remember that as the worst burger since I stopped going to McDonald's and the like (five years ago now).

Bring back tahitian terrace please.

Now THERE'S a great idea! Even if it's not Tahitian Terrace(would be nice) or Aladdin's Oasis, put a table service restaurant back in this spot! I can't say I would be all broken up about losing the storytelling currently in this area. It's kind of a waste of the space IMHO when you think of what it used to be, what it's CAPABLE of being.

And they haven't even HAD that since the Indiana Jones "summer of mysteries" show stopped in September.

I think I like that idea the best, to put something back in that Oasis part (if they aren't going to put Aladdin and Jasmine back there again).

I would kind of like to see Aladdin's Oasis make a return, simply because it was a great interactive show (and the chocolate lamps were awesome). If the Celebration Round-up does well, then it stands to reason that they may consider putting back another ts in there. Speaking as an Indy fan (although, I didn't really like the 4th movie), I'd like to see them turn it into an Indy-themed ts, sort of like the Blue Bayou.
