We said goodbye to our Hundred Acre Wood buddies,
and headed toward Fantasyland.
Jill and the girls (or maybe just Brooklynn) rode on Dumbo,
but as they got on, it started raining, so Kay and I headed for shelter near a kiosk.
We saw Nokey-nose skip by.
Brooklynn used to call Pinocchio Nokey-nose. She says it better now, but it has stuck with the grown-ups.
The kiosk guy said the rain was just getting there and was going to stay all day. That is not what I had seen on the morning news, but I didn't say anything. I was really hoping the news was right and Kiosk Man was wrong.
We took a ride to Neverland. The girls rode with me and Kay rode with Jill.
I probably flash-bulbed Bella in the face, huh?
This guy has worked here for about a hundred and one years. He's at Small World a lot, too.
Do you think he knows he's been in many DIS reports? I thought about telling him he was a DIS star, but he was very busy walking in place on the platform.
When we can get off and right back on on Peter Pan, we do.
Ride #2. This time the girls went with Jill.
After that, it was time for the big Small World meet we had been planning for months.
First, we saw Princess Abby.
Then Prince Henry.
There was a whole crew of wet DIS people.
These boys are fun!
DisMomAmy had stickers for all the kids. They loved that, of course!
Elaine and her nice husband were there, too. (I bet Kay talked to you, didn't she?)
DIS kids.
Kay probably thought we were a bit crazy meeting 'strangers from the internet'!
Time to fill a boat!
We did fill the boat, but we didn't really proportion things out evenly as we got on, and the boat was way heavier on the right side (yes, my side) than the left. We could have been close to taking on water until a couple of people shifted left.
You guys who were there, feel free to add your pictures, which I am sure are much clearer than mine. Plus, they are from different angles, so people might enjoy seeing a few more.
Next time, Small World pictures,
and who
had we
forgotten???
