I am such a sap! That photo of you and your family made me tear up. You can tell through photos and your words, just how much you truly love each other. I've really enjoyed getting to know all of you through your trip reports.
I sure do love them! There are mornings when I wake up and it just blindsides me. I'll see their pictures on the wall and tears fill my eyes.
We enjoy getting to know all of you through the reports, too. I am really sorry that we are missing you on the October trip.
I love love love your family mother's day pictures! What a sweet family! I didn't really see a whole of my mum since I had to work all day. But I popped over to her house after work and brought her dinner (KFC, her favourite) and her little card and an angel figurine I got for her in the states a couple weeks ago.
It's a good thing we don't have steak and shake up here or I'd be 3 times bigger than I already am! Any place that offers cheese fries and milkshakes sounds good to me! We eat there pretty often when we're in Indiana. Or at least stop through the drive-thru for milkshakes on the way home from our outings! It'd be even more deadly now that I know they serve breakfast! That is one of my absolute favourite things in the world is to go out for breakfast!
KFC - one of Drew's favorites. I like it, too, but it's expensive for a bucket, I think. Trent doesn't care for it. Jill says she loves Publix chicken, so I am going to have to try that, because I know it's cheaper than KFC.
Going out for breakfast seems like a vacation thing to me, so it is fun to do that home. It feels like a special little treat.
I forgot to say that I love the pictures from Mothers' day. So glad you are finally getting in some pictures! My mom is the same way as you are with having her picture taken, but she's gotten a lot better. She doesn't exactly like it, but she doesn't give us "the look" or cover her face every time we point a camera at her or suggest a picture. I think it started when she and my dad went to Scotland back in '06 -- she got in pictures so she can prove that she HAD been there.
O...M...G I am terrified of both beetles and large bugs in the same way that some are afraid of spiders. When Charles and I were in New Hampshire last summer, we were camping, but had no problem with bugs, which was GREAT for me!
I'll do a picture here and there for a special occasion, but mostly I just like them of the kids without me in them. Jill said she'd like some of me for the girls to remember me by when I'm gone, so I oblige occasionally.
Bug-free camping is the best kind.

The cicadas will last about a month.
I'm so happy that you had a wonderful Mother's Day, MeMom! The pictures of you and your family are just stunning, you all look so happy!
I'm actually a little jealous that you got to have Steak and Shake, oh how I miss their cheese fries and milkshakes!
But....I may not have to miss them for long! I have some exciting news! It looks like there is a real possibility that we may be moving back to Jacksonville Florida! My husband is in the Navy, and he is up for new orders next June. We thought that the only possibilities would be Norfolk, VA, San Diego or possibly Huntsville AL, but yesterday a billet in Jacksonville was posted!
We lived in Jacksonville before we moved to DC, and we still own a house there, I would be so happy to be able to move back to our home, my old job and our friends. I was saying how nice it would be to have my big kitchen back, and DH said "We'll be close to Disney again" I would like the record to show that I did not say it first (although it may have been the first thing that crossed my mind)
This would be such a blessing, because renting our house has been so stressful, and since DH will be deploying again it would be so nice to be back in a place where I feel very secure and comfortable. He has a really good chance at the billet, but any positive thoughts you all could spare would be much appreciated!
It sounds like that will be the best place for you guys. You already have part of your life invested there, so it seems like the logical choice. Of course, being close to Disney World is a plus, too. I hope that works out for you.
Wonderful picture of you and your babies! I'm with you... I detest having pictures taken of me, but it is nice on occasion to see pictures of yourself with your favorite people.
Hopefully everyone is looking at my pretty kids and not me.
CandleontheWater I will keep positive thoughts for you to get back to FL!
That would be awesome for you!
Me too MeMom! I wanna be in the Disney trip a month club!
Wow that would be amazing!
I went ahead and re-booked the cruise for next May.
We will enjoy Mother's Day at Disney and the F&G Festival too!
Very excitting!!!
All this talk about Steak n' Shake is getting me hungry...thier Chocolate Mint shake is soo yummy!
Funny...it was through knowing you that I learned about Red Robin and Steak n' shake! Thanks!
They have become two of my favorites when travelling.
I have mint chocolate chip ice cream in the freezer. You have made me want to go make a milkshake at five o'clock in the morning!
I am glad you are booked and are happy with your time. Mother's Day and F&G will be so much fun!
I LOVE
the Mother's Day pictures!!! So glad you posted a pic or two!
We just had that short time together, so I only took a few. I do like the picture, but every time I look at the way my mid-section stretches my shirts out, I cringe. I never do anything to change that, though, so I guess I'll just keep cringing. My motivation to be skinny just isn't enough these days. School wipes me out, and I come home and crash. If I would make myself walk for half an hour every afternoon before I settle in, I bet my clothes wouldn't be so stressed.
Lovely Mothers Day photos
and even though we know it's not your favourite thing it's a very good thing to have pictures of you with your family.
I'm usually the one behind the camera and forget to capture pictures of me and there's been an advert on TV over here recently (celebrating moms) showing a whole series of photos where moms only appear as hands, feet, half hidden behind the scenes, etc.
I did at least redress the balance a few times by having some family portrait shots, once professionally in a studio and since then with a friend and with a cousin who are just starting out in photography.
Sure you and all your family will treasure those pictures from your Mothers Day breakfast
Yep, I'm the hidden one.
i was jealous of his dinner too.
I'm happy that me and my boyfriend's mother get along.
MeMom, I love the pic of you with all the youngins.
That's good that you guys get along.
Tell your dad to feel free to share pictures of any Disney meal he has. We can all enjoy it with him.
Awww, what wonderful Mother's Day pictures with you and your youngins It makes me happy to see you all together!!
It makes me happy for us all to
be together, too.
Love the pictures from Mother's Day!!! This weeks is busy for us...mothers day on sunday, work, and My Birthday tomorrow. Taking a day off(first one in a week) to spend time with my grandma!
July is coming!!!
May is chugging right along. June will be here in a flash, and July touches June, so....
Happy Birthday!
We are supposed to be but I have not seen one yet.
I love the picture of you , the kids and the grandkids.
Two of them greeted me at the mailbox yesterday.
The swarms are on their way!
Great picture. Glad you had a good Mother's Day!
And you had a very special one at your house.
Wonderful family picture! Glad you were all able to be together that day.
Me, too. Family time is the best.
More Magic Kingdom pictures tonight. Have a good day, friends!
Also, in future trip news, things are changing just a little. Kay texted me yesterday and said that Breanna's mom had approved the October dates, if Kay wanted to take her to Disney World. So, it looks like they will be accompanying us in October, and then the family will hopefully all go in December. Since Kay won't be able to make two trips and Brooklynn won't be able to miss school for a third time during my spring break, I will have no one to travel with in the spring. I told Jill we should move our Dollywood trip to spring, so we'd have something to do, or we can go for a day in October and a day or two in the spring - that's fine with me. No spring Disney trip will be easier to swallow if we have the Dollywood trip to look forward to, and it will allow for saving extra money to pay for staying at the suites at the new AoA next summer. Between those two things, that should be enough excitement to get me through the spring.
