Geen Yight - She's Out of Sight: A Trip of Leaps and Bounds

Being up in the middle of the night has it's benefits-first to respond after an update! Brooky looks so cute in all those ears. Hope school goes well today.

Watcha doin' up in the middle of the night, Mary?

The "Hick" picture-too funny.

The girls look so cute on the bus with their big sister, little sister shirts on.

Love to see some shopping pics.

Boy I wish we were getting summer clothes out here. We are supposed to get 1-4 inches on snow today. Yesterday was so nice that DH & I went for a walk and now back to that white stuff!!

I hope you have a great day back to work today MeMom.

I really am sorry about the snow. It is beautiful and sunny here, and I think we are supposed to be in the high 70's.

It hasn't been a bad day, so far.

That was one busy bus stop. I have never seen one like that at Pop before.

I would say that's probably as crowded as I have ever seen it, too.

Have a great day at school! Hopefully the kids will behave ....

You should be so happy with all that you acomplished this past week.

I didn't notice Tinkerbell had red eyes...I don't like it.

I think the girls "big sister, little sister" tees are so cute!
BrooklynnsMommy you always find the sweetest clothes for them!

We are suppose to get snow here today......I should really move to FL.

We did get a lot done. The last bit of painting should be finished tonight. The stove arrives tomorrow, but I'm not sure Doug can put it in until Thursday. I'm still not sure about the floor, so I'm waiting to move things back until I hear for sure on that.

You could move Florida, Alabama, Georgia, or Tennessee to get pretty good weather and be close to Disney World. :thumbsup2

I need to see pictures like this every once in a while to remind me why we never go during spring break!

You are very lucky to be able to pop over there on the weekends, too. Proximity to Disney World is a huge plus for being where you are. ::yes::

Wow it seemed really crowded from your pictures. I'm surprised by that. I wouldn't have thought the crowds would pick up that much until April??? I'm a little confused at how spring break can last from February to May???? When I was in school (even though that was in the jurassic period ) spring break was only the week of Easter for pretty much everyone.

Loved the bird photo. I love that there is so much wildlife all around Disney (well, the nonreptilian kind anyway ). And the "Hick" building at Pop isn't just for Tennessee folks... we have WAY more than our fair share of those here in NC too!

Some people are still having winter breaks while others are about to have their spring breaks. It would be interesting to see which one week was the very lowest for the whole year.

Whew, I was behind on updates!

Pop looks like such a neat place. Jeremy would love staying there. We may do that next spring break!

I love shopping with you MeMom. Boy, it brightens my day.

Roaring Forks at Wilderness lodge---isn't it great! It is our absolute favorite counter service at Disney.

The girls looked so cute on the disney bus!

Loved the post about the guys in Home Depot! I needed that this Monday morning. Too funny.

Too cool about the different rooms in your house. I love that you have them Disney themed.

A good cyber-shopping trip Disney style - not a bad start for a Monday. :)

I think Jeremy would like Pop. If you like WL counter service, you'd like Pop. They have many more choices.

I'm going to Jill's Saturday, so after I pay the painter and the guy who is doing the other stuff, if there is money left, I may go ahead and get the shower curtain. I can always save for the other stuff and change WL to AKL later, but I might not be able to find this particular shower curtain then. It's not oer the top leopard or zebra or anything, which is why I like it.

Sorry your Spring break is over. We are patiently waiting for our. It's not until the week after Easter. I think by the time the teachers get the kids heads back in the game, school will be almost over.

Maybe somewhere in the middle of now and Easter would have been a good break point. I know what you mean about Easter, because it will be about done then. Next year, our spring break is not going to be until Easter, either.

All caught up-I really enjoyed the pics at the WL. We are staying there for the first time in October! Can't wait!

You will love it. It is beautiful and peaceful and welcoming and warm. You'll have to send a picture from the balcony as you sit in a rocking chair and listen to the water.

What are your October dates?

That was quite a crowd joining you for DHS that early morning. Brooklynn and Bella look like bus riding pros.

They are pros. Brooklynn used to get antsy on the bus and want to move from seat to seat, but she is happy sitting still now, and she's been a good example for Bella. Bella doesn't care anything about moving from seat to seat. They do very well.

Cute pictures of Brooklyn and her ears!!! I just love seeing sweet happy faces having a good time

I have quite a few kitchen items...the Mickey drain thingy in my sink, a black MH soap dispenser that I think was from Target, kitchen towels.
In my living room I have Mission style furniture and it is a little darker so it goes well with my 3 framed Larry Dotson pictures of AKL.....LOVE them! And I have a tall giraffe on one of the tables so that reminds me of AKL but is not over the top Disney...now my niece's room on the other hand....corkboard with all of her pins...Mickey comforter....assorted Disney plush etc.

Love the "Hick" sign

Tracy

She was having fun changing ears and cheesing it up for the camera.

That's what I want for the bathroom - one of the Lodge prints and maybe a wood-carved giraffe. Maybe a dark basket to put 'stuff' in on the counter. I don't need much. It's a small bathroom, although it is the main bathroom. You know what a 70's ranch home looks like, I'm sure.

I love that "hick" picture!!! That is hysterical!! However, I can guarantee you not all hicks are from the south....we have plenty up here! And I love the pictures of Brooklyn trying on all the ears - she is soooo adorable!

I love those big and little sister shirts! My Dniece has the same one Brooklyn has for when her new baby sister Elle arrives in May!:cutie:

I too thought about putting all my winter clothes away yesterday, but today it's 15 degrees (about 57 F) and tomorrow back to -1 (about 30 degrees) so I just have a little winter and spring out!

So glad you are better! You deserve a Disney trip as a reward. :thumbsup2

We'll be around all day on the 1st, so if we don't hook up in the morning, we'll find everybody a little later. Maybe we could plan an ice cream meet or a parade meet or something. We'll figure out something that works. Will you have hoppers? You could come to Epcot to ride Soarin' and/or Nemo with us.
Thanks!!
Sounds good to me!:thumbsup2 We'll have hoppers, but we'll meet up somewhere for sure!! I hope it's in MK, that's my goal! Meeting you and girls on the MK's 40th bday would be an awesome day!! :woohoo:

Another great update with pics! Brooklynn is looking as beautiful as ever in her variety of ears! Can't wait to see POP in only 6 days with my family!! :dance3:

IMG_0623.jpg

You know, it's a real shame he doesn't like those little girls! :lmao: Such a sweet picture.

I love the Wilderness Lodge. Never stayed there but have visited a couple of times and eaten lunch there and of course shopped too. Great pics!

Loved all the updates, pictures and videos! You really are helping with my needing a Disney Fix! Thanks!

Hope you had a good day back to work, MeMom! It's barely 40 degrees here.

I've been to DHS a couple of times on a Sunday and every time it's been really crowded, and this was before they cut back on Fantasmic so who knows.

Brooklynn looks so cute in all her different sets of ears :cutie:

Things have been very nice here. I wish it could stay this way all year round, but I'm sure we wouldn't appreciate it nearly as much if it did. We have to have the hot days and cold days to appreciate the perfect days. :)

Brooklynn was having a good time with the ears, and I do think she wears them rather cutely.

Thanks!!

Being in Magic Kingdom on the 40th will be very cool. If Jill can work it out, I think we'll leave Friday evening, have all day Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, and then come home the evening of her birthday.

Visiting is nice, and staying there is nicer. We had two rooms side by side, ground floor, where we could sit out on the balcony and talk, and we were just a few steps away from the beach. We walked down to sit in lounge chairs and watch EWP. It was so nice! We couldn't afford to stay there the whole time, but it was nice to have the two nights at the end of a Pop stay.

The weather in Tennessee was awesome. We were in Gatlinburg. We only had really cool weather one day and then it warmed up on Thursday and Friday. It's much better than our extremely hot weather down here. Eventually we plan on moving to either Greenville, SC or the Nashville area, haven't decided yet. Wish we could have stayed longer but back to reality. Only a couple more months until Summer Vacation. :thumbsup2

Ahhhh...I am caught up...

I am thinking you should be on HGTV with a special on decorating! My kitchen needs painting...I painted it nine years ago when my twins were three months old. (Where did that energy go?) So, since then, I keep saying I am going to paint it but I can't pick a color! And now, my living room needs painting (we bought new couches...) So, I am super excited to buy Disney paint. Dh will totally be on board with the idea, but alas he would not be a Prince Charming of the paint aisle in Home Depot (not handy at all!) Instead he would be in a cooking store (which I am more than happy with!) I also love the theming of rooms for Disney resorts...again, you need your own show!!!

I am happy to hear that Brooklyn is getting easier and Bella seems quite content (unless she makes more dashes.)

I know there was more to comment on...loved the early morning stroll! Thank you for the shopping pics! I do miss Disney shopping when I am home...

How is Aunt Joan? How are her spirits? It sounded like it might be a hard adjustment for her...

How did I miss that you started this?! :headache: Now I've got 24 pages to catch up on....be back soon......

OK, I had to skip all the chit chat, which I hate to do because there is always lots of fun in the chatter, but I did none-the-less. All caught up!

That's why the resort themes may be better - they're more subtle than just all out Mickey.

You worked right across from those shadowboxes and didn't pay any attention to them? When you go back as a guest, you can make up for that. Who still works there that worked there when you did? Maybe I can manage to get them in a picture for you. :)

Yea, then I won't tell him til after it's finished that it was themed after a Disney resort. :thumbsup2

Well I saw them, but I must have been too busy making check-ins magical or delivering birthday cards from Mickey and the gang to rooms to pay attention.

Hmm, it could be a long list. Several of the CMs I worked with were college program, some that still may be there are behind the scenes. I'll get back to you on that.

Love the "hick" picture, that is hilarious! :lmao: When I go back and see that I am going to be reminded of that picture!

Brooklynn is such a ham, I love her posing with all the different ears. I feel like I would have been much the same way at her age. We actually have an old home movie of my brother and I (way before our sister), I was five and Michael was not quite two. I was getting upset with my mom taping Michael and not me, so I kept on standing in front of him, saying, "take a picture of meeee" or "take myyyy picture." My dad STILL loves to say that to me!

Glad you guys are finally getting nice weather! Three days ago, it was 70 and sunny, and today it was in the 30's and snowing. Luckily it didn't accumulate and it only stuck in very small, random patches. I am very ready for spring and nice weather!

Hick portion of Pop!!! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

I always smile when I see Bo -- Brooklyn is so cute beside him!

Love all the pictures of Brooklyn hamming it up with various mouse ears!!! Too adorable!

That "hick" picture is hilarious!!! I would stay there!! lol

Brooklynn and all her little hates!! Adorable!!

Reality is not fun. Disney World is.
Those are my thoughts for today. :)

This is a pretty good place to live. Just be sure you get north or south of Nashville and not right in Nashville.

Jill,

I forgot to say something earlier...but I saw these safari outfits at gymboree!

http://www.gymboree.com/shop/dept_c...<>ast_id=1408474395917465&bmUID=1300750602259

I'm sure she'll be checking those out, along with the ones at Old Navy.
The problem is, there are too many cute things!

If I could get paid to decorate Disney rooms, I would take that job in a minute!

Isn't it funny that we get so happy about Disney paint? My off-white walls aren't just off-white, they're New Day Dew. That's so much happier to me.

The doctors allowed Joan to get up today for the first time. They said if she has a really good day today, she might go home tomorrow. Michelle said they gave her nausea meds so that she would not get sick.

We'll have to make up and have some chatter poolside in Disney World one of these days, if our trips ever overlap. :thumbsup2

As for the decorating, he'll never know, but he might think something is up every time you walk into a room and smile a Disney smile. ;)

And regarding the shadowboxes - maybe you were busy taking those bad envelopes to the doors kicking people out?!?!?!? :headache: I remember you telling me you were doing that one morning when we were 'talking' via DIS messages. You evil girl! :rolleyes1

I'll have my students do a sun dance for you guys. :dance3:

Brooklynn had no idea why she was hugging 'the man', but she did it when we told her it was for our DIS friend, Chelsea. :upsidedow

We arrive in the evening on Oct 6th thru the 11th. I turn 40 on the 11th so I am very excited about Magic Kingdoms 40th celebration!

We're barely missing you, especially if we stay until the 5th. :sad2:
I'm glad you will be there for your birthday. :cool1:

That "hick" picture is hilarious!!! I would stay there!! lol

Brooklynn and all her little hates!! Adorable!!

We would have a good ole time in Hickville, Disney, wouldn't we? :woohoo:

Seriously, I can't miss a day or I'm so behind!!

Thanks for taking us to Everything Pop...it's my happy place:lovestruc. I think I might enjoy cooking if I had all the Mickey utensils.

Maybe.

I hope so, too; I would love to meet you guys! My dad is a very friendly guy and can talk to anyone -- I didn't get that gene from him. I'm not unfriendly, I just can't talk to strangers and be at ease with it like my dad can. I'm more like my mom and speak when spoken to. Of course, if we get to meet, you guys won't really be strangers to me.

You guys would probably have a lot to make fun of with us! I never realize it till someone points it out, but I apparently have a strong Boston accent. Words like "drawers" (as in dresser drawers) are problematic for me; I say "draws" unless I consciously think of how I am saying it.

Sure you would!
Mickey things make being in the kitchen much more fun.

I'll just be glad to get my kitchen back in order. The painter had to work overtime again, so the walls still aren't done. Not that I can put everything back even when he is, because the floors are going to be done, but I just don't like being on hold and in limbo. He's doing it in his spare time, though, so I have to wait until he gets to it.

I speak when spoken to in real life. I figure if anyone wants to talk, they will, and if they don't speak, they might be thinking important thoughts. ;) I'm not anti-social; I just don't go in for a lot of chit-chat. A lot of talk at school is drama and 'junk', and I stay away from drama and 'junk' as much as possible.

When a teacher asks me about Disney, though, I can talk. :wizard:

*******************************************

We decided we would go see Ariel-girl.

IMG_0732.jpg

Since it wasn't quite time to line up, we looked around for a minute in the princess store.

When I have money again, I will buy things like this.

IMG_0733.jpg

I like that it had so many Princesses on it.

IMG_0734.jpg

Jill and Brooklynn had a discussion here about a purchase Brooklynn wanted to make. Brooklynn wasn't abundantly happy with waiting and looking more throughout the trip before she bought something, but she handled it well. With Jill's guidance, she is learning about saving and spending and making carefully thought out choices, as much as you can carefully think out anything when you are four.

A smiling fish.

Two sisters waiting to go under the sea.

IMG_0742.jpg

Now I will go to search for videos of the show.

I had success with a few videos and not so much success with a couple. Get a mister and spray yourself with water, talk like a Jamaican lobster, and enjoy.

If the other two ever load, I'll add them later.

Have a good evening, all!
