Merry Christmas (almost -- I won't be on tomorrow, I'm sure) all!

Just wanted to share really quick -- my DS17 and his band finished recording six of their songs yesterday. They won 5 hours at one recording studio and 5 at another, but they haven't used the second one yet. These songs are from about 13 hours (they paid for several extra hours) of work. Maybe I do have a life -- I should start a career as a songwriter!

Morning all. Thought I'd post quickly while my husband is making my breakfast. My dog is at the opthamologist's getting contact lenses installed. I'm not joking either.

PK, what a wonderful gift. I hope you enjoy it. I keep thinking about getting one of those. I don't read at home much but I do when I travel. My boss is incredibly generous too and I try very hard to never take it for granted. My gift this year was exceptional.

And about presents from the boss, DH got nada, just like last year. They do not appreciate their employees. Corporate gets 2 weeks off around Christmas, everyone else gets Christmas Day and New Years Day only. We are thankful for his job, but it is frustrating.

Everyone must have gotten a life in the last few days... Hope you all had a great Christmas! We had to postpone going to visit DH's parents for a few days because of the weather and children's colds -- supposed to visit them on Christmas Eve, just saw them yesterday.

Hi all! I have a teeny little bit of a life today; I'm going out to lunch with my best friend! We didn't have a chance to get together before Christmas. I think we are going to a Spanish restaurant. I got us tickets to see "A Little Night Music" on Broadway - the play with Angela Lansbury and Catherine Zeta-Jones! The tickets are for March 7th.

I hope she likes it! It has become a tradition for us to go to a Broadway play every year. I also got her Mickey pajamas and mittens!

The holidays are definitely over here. I'm back to working long hours. This is the busy time of year for me.

Anybody know anything about vacations in Ireland? Youngest son and fiancee want to go there for their honeymoon. That will mean that all 3 boys have a much nicer honeymoon than my husband and I did. Times have certainly changed.

I've never been to Ireland, but my grandparents (Mom's side) are from there. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about the people, scenery and the pubs!

Erin, I saw you on another thread with the spelling. I thought it was funny that you had dinning as one of your peeves because that is my top one anymore (I'm on the restaurant boards a lot).

Family will be arriving sometime this afternoon. We're doing a Christmas/New Years/2 baby birthday party. They're staying through Sat. Then the inlaws are taking my 3 oldest for the week. They'll be back the following Friday for DH's grandmother's memorial at our house on the 9th.
