Did you guys see there is a woman complaining on a new thread that a stranger took her photo of her bahookie while she was bending over? I immediately thought it has to be one of the gang here. Seriously, this bahookie thing has changed my entire perspective on the world.

We had our company Christmas party yesterday and it was cold here. Yeah, I know it wasn't as cold as you east coasters deal with but we don't have coats/gloves/hats etc. Our party, due to the huge number of people, is always held in our plant (with concrete floors) and even with portable heaters, it was dang cold yesterday. It was fun though; the employees really appreciate all of the gifts our company gives out.

Pakey I'm glad everyone had a great time at the party and was appreciate of the gifts you so painstakingly stuffed for them. I'm sure that made it all worthwhile, or at least more bearable.

Pakey, I booked 10 nights starting April 30th. We will probably take off a few days at the beginning or end, but I wanted to cover my bases.

Not too sure, yet. It will probably be a last minute booking in March. Right now, it all depends on DH's hands. He's been given some tempoary fixes, but the surgery is coming. Doc said we can wait until his anniversary date in March if we want, so he can use his time off. Of course, that is if he can make it that long. I'm leaving that up to him. If so, he wouldn't have an vacation days left for June. I asked, and we can take our vacation while he is in recovery, after the sutures are out, of course. If he were in a different line of work, he would be able to go back after 2 weeks, but due to his job, doc wants him out for 4-6. Anyways, no family would be able to go with us, which is fine. But, I would be doing all the driving and stroller pushing. I will definitely be worn out. I won't know when I can book until his next appt at the end of Feb. But, we have already cancelled the June trip. I think I'm rambling. We have a lot coming at us all at once, but I think it is all do-able.

Snap we will be there at same time. We arrive on May 1. I'll be the one sneaking around taking pics of your bahookie. In reality, I'll be the one sitting in the bar guzzling something. We are taking future step-grandaughter and she's a hyper little thing with a lovely mom who doesn't know how to deal with the hyperactivity. Throw in that this is her first Disney trip and I'm thinking I'll have a headache most of the time.

Now, I should say that all of my attorneys gave me very generous gifts (cash, gift cards, etc. and that's really what I wanted to help pay for Disney), but this partner always gives us a gift and I love it. Two years ago he bought us Ipods with ITunes gift cards. Last year we got a LOT in ITunes gift cards to restock our Ipods. This year we each got a Kindle with a gift certificate to buy books and a cover for the Kindle. I'm technologically stupid, but he always picks out just the right thing. I've been lugging around the new Stephen King book which is approximately 1100 pages. Won't be doing that anymore!

I realize many people are struggling this year, and I don't mean to be flaunting it, but I just thought this was the coolest gift.

You will really like it if you are an avid reader. Ms. GP got one for her birthday, and really has used it a lot and has read a number of books. The part she likes is that you can download the first chapter of a book for free to see if you like it.

Merry Christmas (almost -- I won't be on tomorrow, I'm sure) all!

Just wanted to share really quick -- my DS17 and his band finished recording six of their songs yesterday. They won 5 hours at one recording studio and 5 at another, but they haven't used the second one yet. These songs are from about 13 hours (they paid for several extra hours) of work.
