although, if I did, I wouldn't waste it on a message board.
I'm amazed at the number of posts some people make on these boards. I'm lucky if I can get in a half hour of reading every couple of days. I figured out the numbers for one poster and for over five years that poster has written an average of 12 posts a day - that's nuts! That's an average of at least one hour a day spent writing - never mind how much time is spent reading - I just don't get it. Who the heck has that kind of time? And, most of the posts are the same thing over and over.
Anyway - I love the disboards, but golly gee whiz - I just can't imagine having that kind of free time and spending it all online. I have so many friends and family that keep me busy all the time - I guess, if I were alone - I don't know. Seems really sad to spend all one's time on a computer with strangers. But, I guess, to each his own.![]()
Oooh, dipping cookies in a bahookie.
Wait, that sounds like a line from a country/western song.
OK, so I've been gone frome the DIS message boards for awhile and I know this thread has begun a life unto its own. But, if you want to talk about who has the least number of posts for being registered the longest I think I should win the prize.
My little thingy says I registered in 1999, but I actually registered in the DisBoard during its beta days and when they changed to this format my registration date and numbers of posts were lost. So I actually do have a few more posts than my current number.
Anyway, hi frequent posters. You are who keep these boards ALIVE. This site wouldn't be what it is today if everyone were like me. So keep on posting frequently and I'll sneak in and out of the boards as my schedule allows. It just so happens that I've found myself with a lot of extra time on my hands and will probably be around during the near future.
I think it must be the bahookie pics that have created the new buzz on this thread. Who knows how many other new people will stop by once GP and scotlass post theirs.
Scotlass, how many days is it now?
I'm at work again today, on a Saturday. I really have no life.
rethink...sorry.
Although I think the OP was a bit harsh and also feel people post for many different reasons and whatever reason it is, I say, good for them.
The above is MUCH more disturbing to me.....I really do not see that as funny at all,![]()

A1TinkFans -- sorry if you were offended by the pic, but I think you've been around the DIS long enough to know it simply meant that the OP was going to get flamed for her original post. Nothing more.
As for all the new interest generated by the bahookie shots, what does that say about the moral makeup of the DIS?I certainly knew we were all a little twisted, but it's nice to see there are others like us out there. No life = bahookie shots during your vacation.
Scotlass don't sweat your post so much. I'm sure there weren't too many people who saw it. This thread spends so much time on page 1 that most people just ignore it and move along. (Hey Kerrie, isn't there another ignore thread we should be visiting?)
saw the original post, I thought it was funny, but I understand the edit
And here in lies the problem Kerrie...I KNEW youse guys would find it funny.
I think when you post regular on a long runnin thread you forget its a public forum and others can read it.
I still think my post was funny but I would not like to upset or offend any one....and I sure as heck dont want to get kicked of the DIS before I can post my Bahookie shots !!![]()
Such dedication!
Where are the pics, GP?
GP, we went one September, I think it was in 2002. The humidity was awful. My husband would golf in the mornings and we met for lunch every day. He was so wet from sweat that he looked like he'd went swimming instead of golfing. On the good side though, the parks were empty in the afternoon as everyone left for the pools or waterparks.
And I gotta here about the lots of good food. Share your thoughts on the food for sure.
Kerrie, where is your oldest daughter's favorite place to eat? I can make meal reservations next month and since I'm taking an almost 8 year old girl for her first visit (and my first time taking a girl), I want to make good choices. Also, have you ever done BBB? Any thoughts? I think it's easier to take boys.
