Pakey, I'm leaving in 17 DAYS! I'm so excited. But I know how this goes. It's the hype of a year of planning, followed by the extreme crash and burn when you finally come home. Ugggh, I HATE that feeling.

I'm so jealous. My trip there in January was such a disappointment and I cancelled my upcoming December trip because we are going somewhere else. I'm still stuck with no World until May and I've never gone that long.

I can't imagine. Well actually, I think this might be my last trip for a while (although I said that last year too). I do find it gets a little boring if you go too frequently. Same old shows, rides, etc. At least this time we're doing MNSSHP which is completely new to us. It really is my happy place, but I think too much of a good thing is still too much. Then again, I could come back so excited that I already book for next year. (DD will be graduating grammar school, so that's a good excuse to go again). A lot depends on the economy too. I always use my Christmas bonus and end of firm year bonus to pay for these trips. If that doesn't pan out, no trip.

Anyway, I have subscribed to another thread (I believe Fairy Godmother thread) where people ask if someone going to WDW could send their kids a postcard from WDW. And since I'll be going soon, does anyone need me to send a postcard (or two) to their children, grandchildren, etc.? Now I'm not going to kill myself trying to find an exact postcard, but I will get as close as possible. Let me know if I can help spread the pixie dust to your family!

PK, that's awfully nice of you. If I had an upcoming trip (can you see my tears of sadness) I would take you up on it. I had some sent to my grandson on our last trip and it's such a nice thing.

Disney as a vacation destination never disappoints. However, on our last trip, two of our sons and one daughter in law got pretty sick our first day there and it took a lot of the fun away as they spent the next few days in their rooms, never leaving. They could not keep any food in them so even once they were feeling better, they were pretty weak.

I guess if you go enough times, it's bound to happen. These two sons/spouses flew on a flight together (different from the rest of us) and there was a kid puking on the plane--he was very sick when they boarded already--so sure enough, they got the same thing. I'm sure this other kid's mom didn't want to cancel their Disney vacation but she ended up ruining ours.

Sorry to hear how sick everyone was on the last trip Pakey. I should have known it would be something like that to ruin your family vacation. If you'd like me to send a postcard to your grandson, just to say hello from Disney, I'd be happy to do so. Sounds like you might need a pick me up more than him though.
