PK, did you survive all of the outrageous partying you probably did last night for your birthday?

I have no updates on Judi. She has a lot going on in her life plus she has dial-up.

And what am I doing? Eating cookies. Yup, growing my bahookie as I type.

I'm going to San Francisco tomorrow to see Wicked. I hope I like it. It's got to be better than working which is what I've been doing every Saturday for a few months now.

Hey all. Judi just stopped by the birthday thread to wish me a happy, so she's around here somewhere. Just thought you'd like to know.'

As for my big party last night, it consisted of DD being up and down all night long while her nerves got to her about being a student for the day at the local public high school. Going to pick her up in about 20 minutes. I must say, I'm thrilled that she made it through. I was praying a didn't get a phone call to come and get her and I didn't. My mom should be here soon, and we'll be going to dinner tonight. DD will be going to the local all girls Catholic high school for "Fun Night". When she gets home, I'm going to bed. I'm exhausted. Stinks to be old.

Happy Anniversary Snap.

Wicked was fun, although very different from the book. And there was the Love Festival going on the square right by theater. There was at least 25,000 young people dancing and partying, many were completely naked. It was not warm enough to be completely naked but they were probably just a bit intoxicated. I could smell the alcohol just trying to walk through the square to get to the theater.

I have never felt older in my life.

I barely noticed bahookies as I was getting full frontal views on these young men. And there is no way I could have pointed and shot. I felt so self conscious being a 50 year old in that crowd.

Sorry, Pakey, but I can't imagine having to make my way through a naked crowd. I'm thinking even with a camera, you would have felt more self-conscious than your subjects. Ah the things we do for a little culture in our lives.

The last time I saw full nudity was a couple of months ago when we went to see "Hair" on Broadway. DH and I were really surprised when the actors took off their clothes

Snap, I'm really jealous that you got to see Hair on Broadway. In fact, I'm jealous of those of you who live close enough to see any play on Broadway. I love theater and we have none here where I live; it's a 3 hour drive for any decent entertainment here.

It's been crazy busy here, PK can vouch for the crazy.

Sounds like you had fun Pakey. Since I don't go anywhere without a child or 5, I would have had a lot of explaining to do. Mainly, in keeping my children from taking their clothes off, too.

It's October and I hate October. Bad things always happen to us in October. DH hurt his hand over the weekend. We're waiting to hear from the specialist, but he's probably looking at surgery. He just had back surgery last Nov. He doesn't get paid for being out of work, and since he has a physical job, he can't really work till his hand is fixed. It's definitely past time to find a new job, but its hard to find one that pays even half of what he currently makes.

Aw Kerrie, so sorry to hear about DH's injury. I'll say a prayer that something good (or great!) happens for you soon. Hopefully the doctors will find a way for him to safely and quickly get this injury behind him. My DH broke his elbow last Super Bowl Sunday and was out of work for 6 months. He also does manual labor-type work (climbing oil tanks, etc.) and can't work when injured. We were lucky he was paid disability pay, but most of what he makes all comes in overtime, so it was very tight for a while.
