That's what my in-laws did. Now they feel sorry for me. My husband even apologizes to me for never getting a break from her.

Just a bad day today. She did her best to ruin DD4's dance for the parents. She did a pretty good job, even upsetting one of the other students enough that she couldn't finish her dance.

Sorry to hear she's been trying your patience so much lately. Wish I had some advice, but the only thing I can say is that it won't last forever. Any chance you have a local teen who would be willing to watch her a few hours sometimes, so you can get a break? I know there are people around here (actually Long Island, NY), who pay a teen to come in a play with/amuse the kids while the mom is actually home, just so she can get a little peace or get the cleaning/laundry done without having to worry about keeping the kids occupied. I'd never heard of it before, but a few people in work mentioned it as something maybe my DD13 could do to earn a few dollars. They call it a mother's helper. Might be worth a few dollars, just to be able to rejuvenate now and then and get a break.

BTW, good luck with the christening tomorrow. Hopefully all will go well and you will be able to enjoy it.

I have read it. In fact, I remember first seeing it, but I didn't care. Seems like such a pointless thing to post. Isn't it just proving the fact that you have lots of time to waste since you're posting on a message board that you wished you had time to waste, but you wouldn't waste it on a message board, but you did. I think I just confused myself.

In any case, I have time to waste, and I do waste it on a message board. It's better than cleaning.

Morning all. Hope everyone had a great weekend. I spent my birthday on Friday, plus Sat and Sun, laying pavers at my son's house. The new patio looks great. Wish we were done but still have the sidewalks and firepit patio to install, a new fence to put in, the koi pond to relocate, yada yada.

Kerrie, our youngest son was a total angel as a child (seriously best child I've ever known) but from early teen years to mid twenties, I could not have given him away for free to anyone, even if I'd thrown in a new car to go with him. Hopefully, yours is starting off with the bad stuff and it will evaporate by the teen years.

You know, I've heard that. Which still means I'm in for it for awhile, the 2 oldest have always been angels.

Sounds like you had a very exciting birthday. My husband spent Father's Day working on the jeeps. He finally came in at 7 to play the wii with the kids a little.

wasn't too bad. After the Christening, there was a youth play called Godspell. It was a musical. The kids loved it, so I think that helped us make it through. Not your normal boring service.

The baby did well. The pastor just adored her. I don't think he wanted to give her back.
