Gee Whiz - I wish I had the time...

We took the kids out to Golden Corral (or as my weight watcher's leader refers to it "The Golden feedbag.")

I'll NEVER manage to lose weight by Tuesday - unless I can DIS and jog tomorrow.

Now there's an idea - I wonder if I could hook up a laptop to a treadmill!

Do it and let us know how that works for ya.

Well, I teach all day and usually am after school with kids. I come home, do house stuff, eat dinner, etc...and then it's my relaxing time...I usually put on the tv and go on the internet. I read before I go to sleep...so yeah, I dis almost every day. I'm 25, recently out of college, not married and no kids yet. I enjoy my dising time... :cool1: :thumbsup2

I saw this show about this ultra modern office that had treadmill desks - the treadmills moved really slowly (there was even a woman in pumps) and they could just walk for a good chunk of their day!

I wish I could persuade my job to buy me one of those - they were only about 20,000 each!

She could - she is completely fierce and big brother tries to hold up his end but he usually knuckles under.

I'm actually sort of proud of her...until she tries to turn it on me!

What if this thread goes poof? Will we all lose our boosted thread count from this post? Some of us took times away from the lives we don't have to post on this thread.

Yeah, I think that will fly with the current economy. :rotfl:

I, however, am on my feet all day. If I want to come home and sit on my rear for a couple of hours in lieu of watching TV, that's my business.

Well I used to just DIS from home, but then I got an Iphone :woohoo: Now I can dis at work, while waiting in carpool, while waiting at the checkout line, etc etc

DIS+Iphone =

Nah. A little creativity and some leftover flooring and I rigged the same the same thing for myself. The hard part is learning to type when you're moving around.

Well, actually if you're posting here, :surfweb: it becomes our business. :teeth:

Inquiring DISers want to know. :magnify:

I started a thread on the BB (eek, I did go do something...on another thread!!) about promising to only use food from the freezer, fridge or pantry for the next week. I got a nice start today. It ain't gonna be pretty..

We could do this rather easily and eat happily.

I get depressed and go grocery shopping. It's a problem I have. We currently have 3 fridges and an upright freezer (between two houses :scared1: )... and when SIL had her miscarriage I was just beside myself.
$250 later I have food in two zip codes that could feed us for months. :rolleyes1

But what did I do first thing this morning? Looked at the Krogers ad! :headache:

Me, too. I see something I want to cook..go buy it and then change my mind! Since I am the only cook in the house, I decide all the meals. So there is a lot of mind changing in the freezer. Plus I don't like leftovers, but feel bad throwing them away. So....I can cryogenically delay having to toss them! Three fridges! A BIG freezer! I would be in serious trouble with that!

Uh, oh....Sorry y'all -OT from the subject at hand!!

I'm thinking that tomorrow us losers will have lots of company since most of the east coast is going to be snowed in.

I don't like leftovers either, but I send them in DH's lunch and he's happy because I showed him one day how much money we were saving by him eating leftovers vs. eating in their cafeteria at work. I told him he could get 1.5 XBox games a month with that money, which excited him.. except he doesn't actually buy 1.5 XBox games a month so I just have extra grocery money and he's never caught on.. muahaha! ;)

I know. Having three fridges is a definite problem. I think I have 20 boxes of Hot Pockets at the other house. Where we live, we have a fridge. Everyday stuff, you know the kind. Milk, eggs, cheese. Then there is a fridge in the basement from the 1970's... but it works, so I use it. I hide my ice cream down there. And strip steaks. And wings. And pork loin. :rolleyes1

We bought our fridge for the other house on sale with cash when we had it. It's there and we don't even live there yet.. but it's got food in it. And the upright freezer, same thing. 20% off at Lowes and 0% APR for a year. It's something we had discussed and so we just DID it. It's there, all alone, waiting for us to move in and use it.

I didn't know we weren't allowed to go OT here? I thought that was what we were all about. Sorta.

We're not expected to get snow, but I told my manager at 3PM Friday if I didn't have next week's schedule in hand when I got off at 4PM I wasn't coming Monday.

She told me I work the same thing every Monday (b/c I have a college class) that I better be there.
I reiterated my statement (It's ridiculous to not have a schedule by 4PM Friday for the following week! ) and tried to call her this morning even and got nothing.

I'm still debating if I'm going to show up or not. :upsidedow

I could REALLY use a day off tomorrow - I'm kinda keeping my fingers crossed for a school cancellation.

Being snowed in sounds kinda fun, as long as you don't have anywhere to go and don't lose power.
