Just adding to my post count so that anyone who wants to figure that I have no life would be right.

Reader's Digest Condensed Version: Poster with, apparently, nothing better to do except starts thread criticizing other DISers for spending so much time posting, and assesses that we must therefore have no lives.

Thread results not in, as apparently hoped by OP, others in agreement but instead by multiple DISers having fun with the topic, posting multiple times to up individual daily post counts (which the OP calculated for an unnamed poster, mever mind that the information is readily available on each DISers Personal Profile page).

Resulting thread consists primarily of pointless, entertaining, even bragging posts - except the one or two responses from the OP.

Really, you 've got to read it yourself. Bookmark it for one of those "I'm really, really bored" days

Dare I post another 2.11 posts? I'll be up to my daily post average for the day, on this thread alone! I wouldn't want to waste the posts.

That reminds me of Elaine on Seinfeld, when she didn't want to waste those Today BC sponges on someone who wasn't sponge-worthy.

So, did anyone guess which poster the OP was referring to? I have a good guess as the OP said this poster posted the same thing over and over. I'm thinking it is a political poster who's been here since 2004...

You know, I was thinking (a dangerous thing indeed!)....My post count would be MUCH higher if my threads and posts didn't get poofed so often.

I think there's post discrimination against the dirty minded!

I am a fast typer too!

and a teacher who is blocked from the DIS at school (boo hoo)
so I have to do all my catching up from home
really cuts down on my free time
even though I have no life

I'm blocked at school, too, except in my office in the district office. I have a pretty high post count considering that as well--8 posts per day and I didn't even have to calculate it. The DIS dis it for me and others who are mathematically less than gifted.

Maybe over on the teacher bashing thread? No seriously, stay here where you are loved..I teachers and I think they are terrific, overworked, underappreciated, and underpaid..especially after I read how some parents treat teachers on the other thread.

I hope that goes for me, too? Since I love my students and I think their parents (even when they are mean to me) are just trying to do what they feel is best for their kids? Really, it does go for me, too? Gee, thanks.

I still find it amazing the things parents call to complain about

My favorite phone call this week was the fact that the school did not send home a weather report to let her know that her little darling would have too many clothes on Friday. Gotta love her.

You must read and type slowly. In the time it took you to find a poster and calculate the average number of posts per day, they could have posted all 12 posts in 15 minutes and be done for the day. Unless you don't have friends here to post to, like you do in real life - as you made sure to tell us, it doesn't take an hour to post 12 posts.

I post a lot of one liners to make up my 8 posts a day. And many of the one liners is a quote with a smiley. Just sayin'

Well let's see.. The 7 to 8 months that I spend living at the lake - weekends excluded - my choices of "conversing" are: chipmunks; bears; deer; fox; wild turkeys; woodchucks; etc.. Well I love watching them, they're not "big" about carrying on "in-depth" conversations..

Other than that, I'm retired - so I can post/read as frequently or infrequently as I'd like..

I didn't get the memo that there was an acceptable "quota"..

Yes, yes they do...I've started a few threads where I've fattened up my post count only to have it tumble back down as the mods took issue with my sense of humor.

Psh. . .I have plenty of friends. They all live in my computer.

Of course I spend a lot of time on the DIS. When I'm washing clothes, I need to stay in the house, but it certainly is not necessary for me to sit and watch the machine spin. It does all of that on its own, see. . .

Nah - I couldn't be bothered. I said what I said and I meant it. I am simply amazed that one poster in particular spends so much time on these boards just riling up trouble, posting the same thing over and over. I just can't imagine using my free time in such a manner. I still think it's sad, honestly.

I spend time on here when I'm planning trips - I've made friends on our cruise - I get the whole community thing. I'll scan the CB - the first page only - never have time for more than that and usually just skim over and read the first line or two of the first post in a thread. I just don't get the obsessiveness of some posters. It's simply bizarre to me - and I know that many psychologists are studying the effects of internet addiction. I do not think it's normal for someone to spend two to three hours a day posting news articles, stirring up trouble, researching the news articles to post, then posting more posts, responding to posts and having to read all those posts to respond to in the first place.

I don't even have time to read all the responses on this thread - I read the first page and the last page and wow - some of you are just pretty gosh darned thin-skinned and, quite frankly, rude.

Que sera. Carry on. Sorry to have disturbed so many of you with my thoughts. Pretty sad the way those of you on page 1 and page 7 behaved - can't even imagine what happened in between. Wonder if you'd all behave like that in the real world.
