What are my chances of getting a one bedroom at the grand Californian at 7 months. I was looking at late September or anything in October.

Much better than a studio. Be sure you book when the 7 month window opens as they seem to go fast.

You'll want to check the Disneyland calendar to see if there are any events going on for a particular weekend. In general, I think Sept would be easier as kids are recently back in school. Halloween is a popular time, so Oct might be a bit more difficult. I called at 7mo last year and was able to book a 2 BR for 4 nights the 1st weekend of Oct (we went a year ago). I assume you are thinking of 2013? Cars Land crowds probably won't be as much of a factor as this year. Best of luck! Agree that 1BR is easier to get than a studio.

I think if you call exactly at the 7 month window, you should be ok. After not you may not have any luck.

I'm waiting for my 7 month window will open in a few weeks, so just to torture myself in the wait, I'm looking at the availability at the 7 month mark day by day.
At the moment the 7 month window falls in the Easter week. Even it being an high request week, I can see availability both for studio and 1br, but it quickly disappear when the reservations open.

I don't know for September or October. September is the lowest season point wise, so maybe it's highly requested by people trying to stretch their points (like the first two weeks of December at WDW).

I've just managed to book at the 7 month window in a studion for 9 nights at easter! Chuffed to bits :dance3:

GCV studios are a bit hard to get. But, definately doable especially during peak season (since the points are "off" the charts). Dedicated two bedroom villas are the easiest to get at 7 months window.

We will be staying in a 1 bedroom from Sep. 25 to Sep 30. We got our reservation without any problem at 7 months. Good Luck!

We booked the second weekend in Oct of this year, which is Columbus Day, for 4 nights in a 1 bedroom. The first night was not available at 7 months but the next day nights 2-4 were available. So we book those and waitlisted the the first night. Within two weeks the waitlist came thru. Keep that in mind when you go to book. Best of luck.

I have not had good luck getting 1 bedrooms at 7 months- have yet to stay in anything but a studio. Sigh. YMMV.

I already had reservations for a few days in 1 bedroom starting Easter Sunday but today I added the day BEFORE Easter plus changed to a 2 bedroom for our ENTIRE stay! :thumbsup2 I called it in but checked online just before to get and idea of what to do. :confused3 I don't know if that helps anyone with 7 month reservation @VGC around Spring break time but that's all I got to give! Good luck to you all!! :yay:

Have been able to secure 3 reservations at the 7 month window including one last year in the middle of October when we took our DD2 to the Halloween party...If I recall for the October trip the parks were busier than my wife and I thought due to we think the whole state of Utah was on some sort of school break...oh the

I got a studio for the last week of September at 7 months but barely. I did an online reservation right at 8:00am. Later in the day the first night was soldout.

That is good to know about the dedicated 2br villas as I will be attempting to make a reservation in a few weeks for next April.

We will be in a 2 bedroom this Sept. 8-11. Booked online at 7 month window with no problem. All categories were available when we booked. It is really nice to be able to check online on availability. Good luck when your window opens.

We've been able to book twice at the 7th month. Had no luck at the 4th month.

Good luck!
