As this trip is no longer a surprise I can now officially post a PTR
Cast:
Me (39) Been to WDW lots of time & this will be 4th to DLRP
DH (49) 4th trip to DLRP
DS (5) 4th trip to DLRP (he has Autism and his favourite thing about DLRP is the buses that take you from the hotel to the park
)
DD (16) 3rd trip to DLRP
This was going to be a surprise for DD for finishing her GCSE's however we decided to tell her so that she can pack everything that she needs for the trip
We're going for just 2 nights 3 days as it is a bit of an unexpected and unplanned trip (we're already going in December but we were browsing the deals - as you do - and saw a good price so thought that we'd have a break)
We're having the traditional overnight stay the night before we go at the Premier Inn Folkestone and also have a stay overnight the night we come back so that we can stay as long as possible in the park on the 3rd day. We've always found this hotel really easy to find and great for an overnighter either side of the trip, there's plenty of food outlets in the area and we usually fuel up at the Tesco nearby.
This trip is going to be at the Cheyenne, its the first hotel we ever stayed at at DLRP and really enjoyed it, the bunk beds are ideal for us and DS loves getting the bus back and forth to the park.
We've previously stayed at DCR and didn't like it very much but may return one day in an upgraded cabin. Last September we went to the DLH, can't say that we thought it was worth all the extra money for the service we received, if a good offer was on however we would stay again as it's a great location for just popping in and out of the park, but otherwise wouldn't spend all the extra money.
No real eating plans due to only going for the 2 nights, but we do want to dine at Annettes at some point during the stay and try out the new Earl of Sandwich, rides and things we'll do as we can and the only "must do" is to see Fantillusion as we've missed it every time we've been (and what with the rumours it might not be making an apprearance at Christmas we thought we'd make sure we saw it this time).
