GCH internet fee

So we can just go to the Business Center and use the internet for free? Or is there free access in your room.
Thanks

In your room! Sometimes, from what people have said, you don't even have to plug in, and you can jump on the hotel's wireless network, but if you need to plug in, it's there. It is all part of the Resort Fee, along with self-parking!

Yes, you have to pay a fee, but so does everyone else. It's the stupid resort fee mentioned above, and if you use the internet it probably doesn't seem too bad. For people like me who don't need parking, internet, exercise room or newspaper, it's a big rip-off because I have to pay it anyway.

Thanks for all your help. I'm sorry about the resort fee. I feel the same about many of these fees. Is there a computer to use in the business center? It would be great if my husband did not have to bring his laptop.

You know, it IS Disney, so if they have computers to use in the business center, which they very likely do, I am sure there would be some sort of fee. How much, I don't know! You are probably better off just bringing the laptop, so you can get online (or your husband can) any time of the day or night, in pajamas or whatever. And you are being charged the resort fee anyway if you stay at one of the hotels!

I have to agree 100% with DizMe about the dreaded Resort Fee (whcih has its own 15% tax applied to it). I don't think it's fair to make us pay that when many of us never use any of those services. Just as DizMe said, I wouldn't be using any of those services included in the Resort Fee (and seeing as I am usually there on a weekend, I don't even get a newspaper because they only leave it Mon - Fri!), EXCEPT for parking. And if we needed Parking, DLR could simply do what they did in the old, old days - ask you when you make the reservation, or when you check in, if you will be needing a parking pass and then charge it to your bill. OR, if we wanted Valet Parking, we could do that. But to pay, for example, over $41 in RESORT FEES & taxes for the 3 nights I will be staying at PPH next week when I will be using none of those services except the parking lot is outrageous! Many folks don't even need the parking if they arrive via shuttle or get dropped off somehow. I think its unfair od DLR to impose those fees on us and not let them be optional.

Thanks to all for their helpful answers and input. Off soon to the happiest place on earth!!! :santa:

If you're staying at GCH on DVC points then there's no charge for it?

TIA!
