GCH - do they send confirmations?

I made a hotel reservation for the GCH about a month ago by calling disneyland direct - although my credit card was charged I didn't receive an email confirmation or paper confirmation through the mail like I do when I make reservations at WDW - anyway is this normal or do I need to call - I guess I just like to have some acknowledgment rather than my scribbles LOL
 
When we made a room-only reservation at PPH, we did get a letter in the mail with the confirmation info.

They will usually send out the e-mail or regular mail confirmations 95% of the time. However, every so often they forget or it gets lost in the system somewhere and you don't get it. I had that happen with my GCH reservations and my PPH reservations and I had to ask for a re-send. One time they even sent me a confirmation for SOMEONE ELSE's reservation, and presumably someone else got mine!!! The confirmations - when they go out - are supposed to go out very soon after you hang up the phone with the Cast Member and you receive them within 24 hours (usually much sooner), but it is not fool proof, so you should probably call them and tell them you didn't get your confirmation and ask them to send it again if you feel more comfortable having it. Seeing that I got someone else's confirmation, you may want to be sure that yours has all of your info on it!!
 
We got ours via email when we stayed in 07. They didn't need it when we checked in though. If you're worried about it call them and ask them to resend it. :)
 

I always get a confirmation in the mail, but I've never needed it..(they did need it once when I had to cancel some tickets). I'd call them and ask to have one sent.
 
I have always received a confirmation in the mail. It makes the process all the more real for me. I would call them and have them send me one.
 
I got both email and snail mail confirmations, in fact I got more than one.
