We booked GCH concierge with points. If you have stayed concierge can you tell me a a bit about it eg: the offerings, rooms, views etc. Also can you request a room with a bunkbed in concierge?

There are several long and interesting threads about Grand California Concierge in the Disneyland section. Looks great and I can't wait to be there in September!

I have been to the GC but unfortunately haven't done conciege. I don't know if there is any food offerings with this. I know for sure they can help you with all your PS's.

I cannot wait until this Sunday, June 7th to make our first resv as owners of VGC. We are going there on 9/24. I cannot wait to secure a 2bdrm unit.

We are doing concierge June 14th-19th with our developer points we received when we added GVC a few months ago. My opinion on the cost of concierge service has changed over the years. We used to get concierge free when we would stay in a suite at any of the DL resort hotels. That was fine and dandy because you paid a premium for those rooms. As DL became more popular over the past ten years they have decided to charge a premium of up to 150 dollars a night to add concierge. Not worth it at all in my opinion. The only reason we are using it this trip is because we have to use our developer points by a certain date. Disney has made concierge out of the reach of most hard working folks.

Here was my Garden view concierge room from Feb.

:lmao: To the left was all roof.

They do have food thru out the day like other concierge levels. Continental breakfast, snacks like cookies, goldfish crackers etc. during the day. Tea is later in the afternoon and then hot apps late in the day followed by desserts and cordials.

Sorry - can't help with the bunk bed question.

Please, please tell me what room number this is? That way I will know when I get there to be moved.

barngro - we will be there the 15th through 19th in concierge on DPs...maybe see you there. I will be the one with the most adorable blonde 3 yo boy ever...you wont miss him...he will be the one yelling up and down the hallway...sorry in advance...he oh so much a destructive little boy.

drag n' fly - yes, you may REQUEST, but not guaranteed a bunk bed room. I requested one on the lounge floor. Will know in about a week and a half yey or ney.

Views can be pool/DCA theme park/DTD/garden, which ever you choose to REQUEST. NOTE: garden view is less points than the others. We have garden view.

Food - morning pastries, afternoon snacks, evening hot snacks and late night cookies

Plus - concierge level storytime, firework viewing (with music), restaurant reservations

We booked garden view because it was less points. View has never been a selling feature for me. If I want to pay for view then I will just walk into the park;)

We stayed at our home resort AKV at Christmas on concierge and LOVED it. The problem with staying concierge at WDW is you have to stay at the resort to enjoy all the amenities where as at DL it is an easy jaunt back to the hotel so much more worth the points for us.

If I had my druthers I would dump my AKV contract and switch it for a VGC contract in a heartbeat. Being Canadian though it is a heck of a hassle to sell so I wish the DVC fairy would do a POOF pixiedust: switcheroo and make me an VGC owner:cloud9:

I took a picture of the number so I could recall it but I am traveling at the moment. When I get back home I'll try and remember to post what it was. The view was nothing at all but it was quiet down there at the end of the hall so not everything was bad.

An unfortunate point too, after the Villas officially open in September, no more points can be used to book rooms :sad2: at the Grand.

We purchased GCV - just to able to avoid the cash rates, we've been doing Concierge only there for years on points.

Hopefully they will add Concierge to the GCV, someday.

They are allowing bookings I believe until December 31 if you book on points before the villas open:goodvibes

When you check in at the parking booth, they usually signal the concierge desk that you are arriving and someone greets you at your car. They escort you up to the 6th floor, where you check in, no need to wait in the long line at the registration desk. You are shown the Craftsman's lounge, then they escort you to your room to make sure it is suitable.

The best thing about concierge is of course the Craftsman's lounge and having access to it! At 9:30PM, they dim the lights, and they have a special patio with piped in music for the fireworks! The best place to watch fireworks is in front of the castle, but if you are sick or tired the craftsman's lounge is the next best thing!

Sorry I do not know about the bunkbeds!

But to be honest, any room at the Grand is great, I mean after all you are staying at the Grand!
