We are looking for comments and/or opinions on the GCH and the conceirge level...

- what exactly are you paying "extra" for?
- do you always get a room a great view?
- are kids made to feel really special during the evening story?
- are there large crowds to watch fireworks from the lounge?

We are seriously considering this option but wowza! is it expensive!! :scared1:

I need to book it within the next day or two as we're coming towards the end of March. Actually, have a question about that as well. Do I use a vacation planner for this (someone to talk to directly) or should I just do it online?

Just so many questions!

We've stayed at the GCH concierge level twice. Now that we've gone concierge, I don't know if we can go back to just a regular room!

We have two kids, 3 and 6 years old. When we are too exhausted to go out and buy food, we just hop in to the Concierge Lounge to grab snacks and drinks.

Highlights of concierge level-
-free food, cookies, chocolate covered strawberries....
-watching fireworks and not fight the crowds
-relaxing room where we can eat and kids are safe to walk around without worry and the constant vigilant 'eye' in case they get lost
-storytelling is so much fun, kids get to wear pjs and eat cookies

Here are the answers to our specific questions:
- what exactly are you paying "extra" for? See above..
- do you always get a room a great view? No. Try to get on the same floor as 'concierge'. You get small perks like turn down service, newspaper, Concierge News and other stuff. (i forget but it is small things.)
- are kids made to feel really special during the evening story? Not so much during storytelling, but there is a person who does sing-a-longs. Those the kids get to participate and sing.
- are there large crowds to watch fireworks from the lounge? Not major crowds, but if you want a table to sit at go to the patio section early to scope out a good spot. I recommend left hand side of patio gets a better view than right hand side.
:goodvibes
It is fantastic, I wholeheartedly recommend going.

The free food was great for us..we made a point of eating as many meal type things as we could, and really did save a bunch. I really really liked the free wine and night and my DH really really liked the free beer :)

and can anyone tell me if theres a benefit to using a vacation planner vs just booking it all online?

I don't know why, but when I called Disney Travel I was given a better CL rate than when I priced it on-line. :confused3

We always use a specific person at Vacation Planning, but the last few times that we have stayed on the club level, one of the CM's has called us just before the trip. They will make reservations and help you with your trip. So that seems to be a new feature.

We love it. It is very convenient!
