GCA $259, DL Hotel $169, Paradise Pier $159, 8/24-12/18 2008

On another board there is one poster who called yesterday without a PIN and just asked for the "Fallidays" special and got it. His theory is that you have to have actually say the name of the promotion. I think maybe I'll give that a try today or tomorrow.

dont bother I tried it already and they said that there is no way this person could have gotten that rate just by asking for the special...they said that person is going to have a rude awakening when they show up to check in and is asked for the code....they wont honor it...she didnt use those words but I got the jist of it...she said this promo is pin code specific and you have to give them the code upon checkin so :confused3...I called and they dont have a code for my name either dang it:mad:

I feel like a child waiting for santa again......I keep checking my emails for the special email....and I keep checking the annual pass site for the Ap rate......I am Disneyfied :)

I really believe that they are going to try to book as many people as they can with this fallidays promo and then come out with the AP special. (At least that is what I keep telling myself)

I also called and was told that I am not on the list. :scared: They did say they were mailing them out thru the end of the week and that your name does not show up on the list until it gets mailed out, so there was still hope.:flower3:

I have an AP, both the VP and DVC DVD's, booked a few times using WDTC, Disney Visa, ect....so go figure.

I can't imagine that they would not offer anything to AP's. They know that we are all out here waiting to plunk down lots of cash to stay with them. They would be silly not to offer a deal.:confused3

I know someone already posted this info but I cannot recall who, so forgive me for asking again. What is the new policy as far as deposits on the reservations made through Central, as with these discount rates? Up through last year, Central would just take the reservation but you didn't have to pay anything up front at all. In fact, I think you were not charged until the week of the visit or when you actually showed up, so you had plenty of options and time to cancel without penalty. It was the WDTC that required a $200 deposit immediately when you booked through them, and then payment of the entire reservation amount no later than 30 days prior to arrival.

So, I know Central has changed their rules. But I cannot recall if someone said that they make you pay a deposit of one night's stay up front now and the rest upon arrival, or how does it work now? Is it $100 deposit up front? Let's say I decide to use this discount thing and book through Central for two nights. Would they total up the whole amount due and then split it in half and that is what I pay immediately or, do they want payment of the whole amount before arrival, or what? Someone please clarify! If I am able to swing this at any point, I want to know exactly what I will have to pay up front and upon arrival. What about if you only stay one night? You pay for the entire thing immediately?

The policy now is to pay for one night as a deposit. You can pay more than that if you want, but that's the minimum.

Thanks for the speedy reply. Okay, so I assume they have some sort of cancellation policy in place. WDTC penalizes you when you cancel and they keep $100 or more of your money. I hope Central is not following suit with that idea. I remember Central telling me last year that were going to change their policy this year in a few different ways. So, I would imagine that if I book two nights, they will add up the tax and everything else, then divide the total by two and make me pay half up front. That is very much the same as what they have been doing for years with people who do not have credit or debit cards and can only pay with money orders. They make them pay for one night up front, and then I think you can cancel up to a week before your arrival date to get your money back. If you don't cancel, then you pay the rest upon arrival. So now everyone is in the same boat, whether you have a platinum card or a debit card or a money order! You still pay one night at first. They probably HOPE that most folks will pay for the whole thing up front.

I have to separate email accounts, one for personal stuff and one for product registrations and contests. I received and email on both from Disney, not the ones I wanted of course.

Every time that I am asked if I want a planning dvd, I order one. I do think it is the key to getting these offers.

Ha - those are the only ones I seem to get too :sad2:

Not holding my breath on getting my pin code since I already have a standing reservation! :sad2:

If any of you guys look at the WDW forums here, especially the one about discounts and PINs, you can see that you're never going to figure out the rhyme and reason for who gets them. In the past few months I've gotten THREE PINs for WDW, and one special email about some package deal at the Jolly Roger.

A bunch of people (including me) several months ago got a PIN after ordering the disney planning DVD. Others didn't after order the same DVD around the same time.

Some computer somewhere is figuring all of this out, and I don't think we ever will. :upsidedow

This the same info the CM gave me today when I booked our room at the DLH. It's nice to know I have an out if something terrible happens (financially speaking).

Our card came in the mail today and I was able to book a reservation for us at DLH for 10/20 - 10/25

I gave my best friend the PIN before I read the fine print on the card.:rolleyes1 However, I can have 2 rooms on my ressie, so if she wants to go, I'll just call back and add another room for her family.

When I made the ressie today, the CM didn't tell me that I had to bring the card with me. Thank goodness that I kept it and didn't pitch it into the trash.

The CM I talked to today said they were "dreaming" people with the PINS and that it was totally random. :confused3

Okay, so I am trying to figure out what the total price will be if I book, so I know exactly what I have to scrape together. IF I can pull this off, using the discount, I want to be prepared for all of the other little 'surprise' fees they will charge upon arrival or when I book on the phone. (Isn't it funny? I stayed at PPH last year in September through Central Reservations and at the GCH through WDTC in December, and I have completely blanked out on what all the charges were!)

SO someone please tell what I am missing here or if there is something I am getting wrong, and :

Hotel stay - PPH - $149 per night
Resort fee - $12 per day
Tax - ?? Is it 13% per night, or did they raise it?
Parking (one car, two nights) - ??at least $20 per day, I am sure
Any 'phone deposits' or does the Resort Fee cover that?

Good answer Disney and they should have said that from the beginning then do you think people would not be upset lol.. probably not as much...
