Has anyone stayed at Gaylord Palms? I have never stayed off property but the pics of this place look interesting. Thinking of heading to WDW for a weekend. How are the shuttles to WDW?

I stayed there about three years ago. The place is amazing, rooms were great, staff wonderfull, and of course the atrium can't be believed. We are heading back later this year and thought not staying there will still make a day trip over just to enjoy the grounds.

I stayed there for a conference. It was a very VERY impressive hotel. I didn't get to go to WDW. My kids would have really enjoyed the hotel. There was no Disney theme as you would imagine. It is also VERY large. It seemed to be very well run.

Very nice and impressive hotel but it is expensive. On top of the normal room rates there is an additional resort fee and parking fees added on when checking in. Also there is no where within the complex to get a cheap meal. We absolutly love the place but just be forewarned that its expensive.

I stayed at the Gaylord once, in the Key West section with a balcony overlooking the interior area. We really loved it except one weird instance...they had an automated "Do Not Disturb" system which we turned on. Suddenly there is a pounding on the door. It's the maid, who says, "You have Do Not Disturb on, so I need to know when it's okay to come in." Duh, sort of defeats the purpose! But other than that, we really liked it (of course, we got it dirt cheap on Priceline). I wouldn't want to rely on their shuttle, but if you drive it's in a great spot. It's right by the Osceola Parkway entrance to WDW and a short jaunt to all the restaurants and a Publix out on 192.

The mousesavers rate for oct is $129 + tax. Is that with or without the resort and parking fees?

have stayed many times-it's a great place but is expensive. the resturants there are good but not cheap. they do add a parking and resort fee, so add another 30 dollars to any price-but it beats any place in the area or in the downtown area.
