Gaylord Palms Christmas Stuff?

Greetings! In 10 days, my husband & I will be visiting Orlando for 10 days. Since I could only secure a 3 night reservation at BLT, we'll be visiting US as well as Gaylord Palms prior to WDW. A few years ago, I stayed at this resort but it wasn't during the holidays. I see that they offer many holiday activities and shows and that some require tickets (site indicates that tix must be purchased online prior to visit.) Has anyone experienced any of their offerings? Should I purchase tix? Any advice and/or recommendations appreciated.

I love Gaylord Holidays They compete with the big time ( and have found a way to “Do Holidays” ) including Easter & Halloween .
I will add to this soon … I am desperately trying to fit this into my schedule this year Also beforemy BLT visit . Not enough weekends before Xmas for me!

We visited the location in Opryland. I'm not sure if the locations have the same events but we had a great time. We planned it around a weekday and it was not very crowded. We loved the carriage ride and the ice walk(not sure what it was called).

No ice walk this year as they couldn’t get the people who sculpt them into the country cause of Covid apparently

We visited for a day last week for some of the Christmas activities. We did the tubing and saw the nativity show (free standby seating). We also walked around the resort quite a bit and ate lunch at the sports bar. It was a great way to keep the kids busy for a chunk of the day. We decided to skip the other stuff because the kids didn’t seem to care.

I was under the impression that tickets must be bought in advance too. While that probably is a good idea, you can buy them that day, there is just no place to do it there. You can do it on your phone though. So if you go and decide to buy another activity, you can do that, as long as it’s still available.

Note that parking is $30.
